I'm the new SR mod!

Hey everyone! As you can see from the title, I have taken on the roll of our mod here. Please bare with me as I learn the in's and out's as I try to do my best for you.

I would like to know what would you like to see in here?

How can I get more of you to post? Come on out, dear lurkers, and play with us, we don't bite

and let's learn a little about each other!

My goal is to make the forum as user friendly as possible for everyone. So I am open to any suggestions, ideas, etc. You can either post here, or shoot me a PM.

If we all work together, I think we can continue to do a great job in here.

I'll start: My name is Courtney, I'm 36 with a very adorable (almost) 22 month old little boy that we call Bug. I am a SAHM (tough job, but someone has to do it) and have been couponing now for about 3 years. I live in Ocean County, NJ, but my heart is in Middlesex County where all of my friends are.

I'll go next :) I'm Victoria, a SAHM to 4 year old twins who eat me out of house and home . I used to be a hard core couponer after the twins, but then i got lazy... But now I'm back! This bumpy economy has taught me it's NEVER ok to get lax about saving money. Lesson learned. Next!

I couldn't imagine twins! Every other few days, my son eats like it's the last time I'm ever going to feed him!!

Is there anything you like/dislike about how the forum is set up? Obviously within the realms of what I can do to make it better, what are your ideas?

My name is Stefanie, I'm from Warren County, NJ and fairly new to the site. I have always used coupons, but last year both my husband and myself lost our jobs, and we now have a beautiful 4 month old. I never realized how much we spent on our grocery bill until things got tight, even after my coupons we were still spending $300-$500 a month and never had anything in the house. I can proudly say the last three months we have been getting $1000 worth of groceries for $250 each month and my cabinets/freezer/fridge are full!!! for all your help!!

I'm 28, and a Road Warrior Wife. I just got married in January I travel a ton for work.. no kids here.
I've been cutting coupons since I was 5!
I have a blog, which is not in my signature because I need to figure out how to get it LWRC approved. NJ Coupon Girl (it's not just for coupons but other adventures too). I need to post more regularly on there, and now that wedding stuff is out of the picture I can (I blogged about my entire wedding planning process our winter wedding - Intent).

Things I love about this blog: the early release ad, I love the matchups. I do wish people would share more experiences, something like "here is my grocery list/plan" and then "here is what I really purchased"

Where in Ocean County?? I shop in Waretown and my parents are in Point Pleasant. Where in Mdsx county are you? I do NOT miss Rt 18 or Rt 9 traffic in the least bit!! At least there though, I know all the back roads!!

You're a pretty seasoned couponer!! Good to know!! The early release is great, isn't it?? I never get mine that early, so I am very, very grateful for DollarsOutofDimes for posting it for us!

We could do a thread for those match-up. I think a separate thread would be better than putting in w/ the match-ups as it would (could) really clog it up. I also think it's a great idea as I know it helps me see things differently as well.

Hey Courtney, Thanks so much for taking over the responsibility of this Forum.

I am Michele and live in Northern NJ, next to the Rockaway Mall so I have my pick of any number of stores but find that Shoprite offers the best deals.

I am Married with four kids ages 10, 23, 25, & 28. The youngest still lives here at home the others come home daily or weekly to eat!
the best two things that I love about couponing,

I have always been close to my kids, but am ever so grateful for the bonding that shopping with coupons have brought between me and my daughters.

& although I have never been very wealthy; I have always volunteered and given what I could, when I could to charity. So finding all the deals after using coupons, allows me to donate to non profit organizations. Last month I went to 5 different shoprites multiple times and was able to get 125 degree deodorants free - before taxes; and was able to ship them to Tuscaloosa AL, after the area had been devastated by deadly tornadoes.

I will try to find the AD scan each week, but that credit goes to Smurfytigger, a member of another forum. I would also love to read/see more posts on experiences. I will try to post mine in the future, as well.

I am enjoying reading about all my fellow couponers, and I look forward to learning about everyone who posts here and else where on this site!

Dollars ~ Thanks for the post! It's nice to get to know everyone and learn a little about each other. It makes things a little more personal, don't you think?

I'm going to take a look at the ad (again) later on to see what I will be getting and will post my scenario's as well. Hopefully we can get a few more people to do that as well.
