Congrats on the new job here. I guess I'm more of a lurker since half the time I end up shopping Saturday afternoon and there's nothing much to add at that point!

ShopRite in Maryland is usually pretty nice but they only double up to $1 max, now if you could fix that it would be nice!

May not be much to add, but you can let us know what deals you found!

yeah moving from central nj to south jersey was a big change we bought a house in cherry hill we were young and stupid wanted a new house but couldn't swing the central jersey taxes and house prices at the time (we were 21) so we bought in cherry hill my hubby works in clark so the drive is killing him and my kids go to private school so there goes my pockets lol.... i am from old bridge kinda by rt 516 drug fair my hubby is from matawan and wall twp... its so weird how you can move from one part of nj to another and feel like your in a diff state.. i feel like im in pa or something down here... we miss having SUBS they have these small hoogies here lol and no very good pizza plan on moving back to the old bridge marlboro manalapan area very soon... i don't miss rt 9 or rt1 or 18 lol the major roads here are crazy though to OLD people who wanna sight see i have to deal with rt 70 from cherry hill all the way to brielle over 1 hour one lane rd between people driving like turtles and the brick area now that they put all those stores there i can't stand every weekend getting on rt 70 if i had my wish we would move the boat from brielle and put it in keyport i would rather deal with turnpike and parkway.... my hubby picks on me everytime we go look at houses i make sure there is a target and shoprite near by lol....

Ahh...a good SUB!! This summer, I drove all over the place just looking for a mom and pop sub shop! Nope. The closest I found is about 20 mins away, not a bad drive, but still.....

In regards to the roads: I don't miss those roads either! But I miss knowing ALL of the ways AROUND them! Traffic on 18 and I need to get into NB? No sweat, got it covered! Here? I'm clueless and wind up picking my way through roads, only to find that the road stops at the water. AH!

I tried out about 6 different pizza places down here when I first came down. 6! Found 1 that is decent and stuck w/ it. Just 1 though! I really miss my small town where everyone knows everyone, and I can walk to 3 different stores for milk if need be. Here in Forked River, I can't walk to a single store, unless I want to be walking 2+miles one way.

I've been to the Cherry Hill area....they talk funny! My old college roomie lives down that way, so I used to be there a lot. I know exactly what you mean! Plus they break check for no apparent reason!

And Rt 70 ?? AHHHHHHHH shoot me, please! My parents live in Point Pleasant and in the summer, I do not go there on Friday, Saturday or Sunday for fear that I'll be stuck in that Rt 70 traffic forever!

I would be looking for a Shoprite and a 24 hour Dunkin Donuts!! All of the ones around here close at 11pm!!!

I didn't realize you were from No. Bruns? It's so nice to see other people from Central Jersey!

I'm about 20 mins from the Seaside boardwalk! Did we know this about each other?? Feel free to flick me if you told me that already!

Local summer is the only way to hit the boardwalk, unless (like you said) you go nice and early before the bennies get there! That's what I would do when I went to my parents house (they live in Point), hit the boardwalk w/ Bug around 9am, let him run from one end to the other and by the time we'd get back to the main area, the bennies would be arriving and we'd be leaving!!
