Congratulations, please tell us about any matchups you found that aren't already posted in the weekly thread.
I went to the North Bergen Shop Rite
I bough 66 items, The tape says:
Total on sale savings: $43.51
PPC & Mfr Cpns: $ 30.06
PPC & Str Cpns : $ 11:34
Total Savings today is :$ 97.86
Total Paid : $ 82.21
Plus I got $112.27 towards their holiday promotion.
Anytime my savings are more than what I spend I am happy!

NICE!
Am I the only one confused by their new Savings Summary??? LOL
Maureen, WAHM to four cuties. Stretching that dollar til she screams!:smile2:
It's actually not that hard.
Just to define a few terms I'm going to use here.
RETAIL PRICE - This is the normal, non sale price.
SHELF PRICE - This is the price that's normally displayed on the shelf. If a sale does not require a Price Plus card to get the discount, this would be the sale price. If the sale does require the Price Plus card, this is the "additional or lesser" quantities price.
SALE PRICE - This is the price that you pay with your Price Plus card.
A note on Price Plus card savings - some are manufacturer's discounts, some are store discounts. (This is why some read MC and some read SC next to them.)
So from the top, using MamaBear's numbers:
Total on sale savings: $43.51
(This is the discount from retail price to shelf price.)
PPC & Mfr Cpns: $ 30.06
PPC & Str Cpns : $ 11.34
(This discount includes both the discount from shelf price to sale price and the coupons you use. Doubled values of coupons count under the store coupons.)
Total Savings today is :$ 97.86
(Simple enough, this is the total.)
Now there should also be a line that says separately how much the Price Plus card saved. I suspect it just wasn't posted (which is okay by me!)
Hope this helps just a bit...
Great job mamabear!!
Great Job! I used to shop at that SR, but now frequent the ones in LI instead of NJ! Cheaper for gas :)!
hey all! so I planned another shoprite trip which was last week
I got 4 All oxy detergents, 4 colgate toothpastes, 4 hefty basic 45ct plates, 1 NY texas toast, I only paid a little under $8 I lost the receipt so I cant post the savings summary but I feel pretty good about the trip! Plus I remembered my reusable bags and saved and extra $.30.
Thank you for the information about Shop Rite. I'm a newbie to coupons; well, new to couponing the right way.....to save ALOT of money; anyhow -- the nearest Shop Rite is a 1 1/2 hours drive. Your post answered my question "if it's worth the ride!" I believe if I plan it right, stay organized, and take my time; I'll be able to do it!
Of course, i'll take advice from anyone!!
