When I checked out, I purposely didn't scan my SR card so I could make sure I had $20 before discounts, but the pizzas rang up as $6.99 each. For the Kraft deal I'd planned, the Crystal Lite did the same thing - rang up as $2.99 as the regular price, even though the shelf price was $4.99. What did I do wrong?
Most likely, you got a helpful cashier who noticed you didn't offer a card, and scanned a courtesy card so you could benefit from the sale prices. You did get the CATs, right?

If they rang up like you said, instead of $8.99, voice:$2 savings, $6.99, then I have no idea why. At that point, I would ask the cashier to ring up one more Crystal Lite (to be fetched after payment), because coughing up another $2.99 is well worth getting all those CATs, and not having to deal with CS or CAT people.
