I haven't seen this. I would take your receipt to customer service and ask why it didn't double all of your Q's.
Just when I think I've got everything figured out at my store, I get thrown for a loop. :hectic1: Hopefully, one of the Shoprite pros can help me out.
Today I went to my store, which is fully doubling, and used a ton of Qs. As I was examining my receipt, I realized several of my Qs did not double. One was a .75/1 Helluva Good Dip which is on sale for 1.29. The other Qs were the .75/2 Carolina Rice Mixes that were on sale for .66 each. My store never, ever issued overage but the computer would automatically adjust the coupon so that the item would simply be free. Yet it wasn't the case today. Is this something new?

Did you use more than 4 of each of those q's?
My response to those who ask why do you coupon.
"I can spend my money on toilet paper and deoderant or I can use coupons for that stuff and save my money for a new Burberry. I think I would rather have a cute bag"
No, I didn't use more than 4. Actually, I only used two of each.
Did your stores recently switch to the new registers? Ours switched about 2 weeks ago and ever since all coupons that used to self adjust to the correct price no longer do (ie: you use a 55¢ coupon an item that is $1.00 it used to automatically adjust to 55¢ and then the doubled amount would be 45¢ off to make the item free) Now it does not do that. They have been manually adjusting them at my store for me after I point it out.
Hope this makes sense!

This is why I use the self scans so I can track the transaction amounts right in front of me!
i noticed this today when using the .55/1 printables for the international delight creamers. They do not say "do not double" anywhere on the coupon. The coupon just scanned as .55 off 1. This is a problem that needs to be fixed. I am planning on buying a bunch of Texas Toast croutons later in the week and expect to have the same problem. I would hate to go the customer service center every time.
I would think there could be a few reasons:
First is that maybe the coupons were DND-5 & the cashier pushed the double override button so they wouldn't double.
Second, they could've been DND-9s. They wouldn't double, period.
Otherwise, I'm out of ideas. And yes, I'm getting that the $.75/2 Carolina probably didn't fit into either scenario (don't have it in front of me to be certain). Perhaps you should just ask at the desk, as a curiosity thing so you can watch for similar scenarios, or just write it off as a ghost in the machine this one time. :shrug7:
Somerset & Bound Brook NJ have the new registers (Somerset must've just gotten them in) & I have had no trouble with the doubling to the limit at either location. I just got some free Bumble Bee pouches today ($.55/1 inserts). Perhaps this is a programming issue at your locations?
I'm out of ideas too. I have to go back to Shoprite tonight so I'll bring my receipt back and ask about it. I'll update with what I find out.
As far as I can remember both Qs were DND-5 and neither said Do Not Double (my coupon folder is in my car right now so I can't be certain.) Also , I didn't see the cashier push any buttons so I don't think she had any control over it, unless of course she can override and allow it to double. This did happen to me once before with a Wacky Mac Q that was .75/1 (on sale for .99) but I just chalked it up to it was probably a DND-9. But now, I'm wondering about that too.
