Default Re: Shoprite: Question about doubling

it happened to me last weekend with my IP's. the goldfish one didn't double, i think it said DND though & then an international delight didn't double. i was hoping for the overage on the .75/1 and bought an extra creamer, but they manually doubled it when i saw it didn't & i only got up to .99 (the price of the creamer). this happened at 2 different stores. i had other insert coupons that doubled fine.

Otherwise, I'm out of ideas. And yes, I'm getting that the $.75/2 Carolina probably didn't fit into either scenario (don't have it in front of me to be certain). Perhaps you should just ask at the desk, as a curiosity thing so you can watch for similar scenarios, or just write it off as a ghost in the machine this one time. :shrug7:
Cashier didnt press any buttons. i usually have someone bagging with me so i can watch all the coupons scan. She didnt press anything and scanned every coupon, the International Delight IP's just didnt double. Perhaps my Shoprite did something to the registers in anticipation of this sale(They know theres .55/1 DND inserts for the creamer and coded the machine to not double them, even though i used the IP which is NOT DND). I know this is doubtful, but i'll find out for sure on Thursday when i try out the Texas Toast .55/1 crouton coupons. I truely believe that when they updated to the new machine any coupon that would double to over the product amount, now just no longer doubles at all. This is bad for those who got their registers updated.

I bought those goldfish on Sunday. They are on sale for $1.67 and the coupon did double. My guess for you was that the cashier perhaps didnt scan one of them since she say the DND or she pressed the DND button. The IP for the creamer i cant explain for sure yet.

It was the bumble bee pouches that I first had trouble with. It was the first day they had the new registers and I was hoping it was a glitch that would be worked out but this week when I went they didnt double again :shrug7: I really Hope it is a programming issue and they fix it soon

i can now confirm that the Texas Toast croutons are NOT doubling at stores where the machines where updated. They even tried to pull the "one coupon per purchase" which is stated on the bottom of the coupon.

Unless someone can confirm otherwise, if your store upgrated their registers any coupon that would double to over the product amount, now just no longer doubles at at. If the item was .99 and you had a .55/1 coupon it would scan .55 then double .44 and you get the item free. It no longer does this.

I thought one coupon per purchase meant one coupon per item purchased? At least, that's always how it was explained to me. Now, the Stove Top coupons that say "one coupon per transaction", that's a bit different.

That was just their excuse for why it wasn't doubling. They are idiots and have no idea what's going on.

Read the above posts about the problem. Dole is on sale for $.99 this week. since the coupon is $.50/1, the Dole would need to be $1 or greater for it to double now. The new programing of the registers suck now. Perhaps someone should make this thread a sticky until the issue gets resolved.
