My SR doesn't seem to have that new system, at least not that I have noticed.

And apparently when I lost my car keys, w/ ALL of my wonderful little store cards on them, someone decided that it would be good to keep all of it b/c I went to SR Friday, and my total towards the Turkey promo was $187.xx, went back on Saturday to get some more ribs and when I got home, saw that my total towards that promo was now fulfilled!! Interesting.....so, called SR told them what was going on and they transferred everything to a new card so that I would be the only one redeeming that offer........WHEW...but thanks to whomever is using it, now I get my turkey sooner and spent less......lol

Well, cool on the turkey thing... but be careful with the lost cards. You can find out a LOT about a person from those store cards. I found a set of car keys with a garage remote opener and a ring full of store cards on a soccer field.

They belonged to a coach on the away team (I found them on my son's home field while cleaning up debris after the game.. soccer players are MESSY). The police were able to return them to their owner by contacting the Weis store and giving them his card number to get his name and phone number.

I knew it belonged to someone on the away team because we don't have Weis in my area. To their credit, when I called Weis myself, they told me to drop them in a mailbox and they would pay the postage and return them to the owner. I gave them to the local police dept instead because I felt bad thinking about this coach riding back on the school bus and having no keys to get into his car to go home and hoped the police could contact him faster.

If you know every card that was on there, I'd contact each store and report them as lost/stolen. And if you had something like a garage remote on there, change your code. It did cross my mind that if someone with evil intentions had found those keys and one of the stores on that ring had innocently given out his personal info, someone could have used that remote to get into the coaches home before he got home. Maybe a long shot, but it's made me look at my store cards almost like my credit cards with keeping them tucked away in public.

Carolina rice mixes 0.75/2 coupon from recent RP insert beeped "no item sold for this coupon", even though it was definitely correct item and price was 0.80 and it was coded correctly. The variety I bought was Chicken rice and vermicelli mix with seasoning . roasted chicken flavor upc 0-17400-10612 - that was the only one they had. Coupons had to be overridden with manager card.

People were buying Carolina Rice before - did you have any problems with this coupon? If not, what varieties were you buying? Also, in the same insert there was a 0.55 coupon for Carolina rice, but I could not find Carolina 1lb rice packages that were on sale for 0.99 this time last year,the smallest package was 2lb. Anyone found them?

I had no problem before with the Carolina RIce mixes, it must be a new thing with the registers. For the regular rice, they switched from boxes to bags and moved locations in two of the Shop RItes that I shop in. THey are now on the bottom, one store did have the small bag, not sure about the other.

It appears the Kraft promo at my store is based on psp. I bought 4 jello gelatin and used two $.50/2 printable coupons and got them for free. At the bottom of me receipt it say $2.40 towards free certificate. Regular price is $.60/each for the gelatin at my store.

I completely understand about losing turkey dollars as well as the other programs currently running at SR. Sorry it takes a while for me to get used to my surroundings, but you guys have certainly made me feel at home

Oh and heads up all.. check "my account" on the SR website for both your PP card and Family Rewards. My receipt has 24 Family Reward pts, but the site has 24 pts "total" and 80 pts "redeemable".... I think they still have some, um.. glitches in that program.

I think the difference in your family pts is because one period just ended I think last week, but you still have time to redeem those points. The 24 pts are the pts you have earned in the new period.

Kaput, at our store, the carolina plain rice 1lb box is $1.29. A fair price for rice these days. It took 3 trips before the store restocked the 1lb pkgs. Since they were not 'on sale' I didn't ask for a rain check.

I have a few more coupons and I'll get more at that price.
As far as the flavored special rice packets are concerned...I don't see that as a bargain for me. I grow my own herbs....like that...

This has to do with the Kraft promotion where you can either earn a $5 or a $10 certificate on your next purchase wyb participating Kraft items per Shoprite ad.
