You are getting confused with Acme. I'm not sure if SR goes off shelf price.

I remember one time ...2 yrs ago maybe...the deal was on shelf prices BUT

With these new registers, I wouldn't bet on it.
I guess I'd try it if I had super good coupons and needed the stuff anyway.
    Hmmm....

I can't say for sure that this deal will work on shelf BUT!...
A few weeks ago (not last week) when they had a $25/5 that included Mr.Clean I did it off of shelf (even used BOGO Q's) and it was fine. I also did Pantene/Fusion $25/5 on shelf.

And, this is all speculation on my part, I don't think the manner our $ total is determined will change for any store unless Catalina Marketing changes something. My logic could be missing some info somewhere, but Catalina is who sets up these Cat deals and they base the redemption's off of the retail prices they have for the retailers it seems. They wouldn't have any way of knowing an item is marked down for a sale.

I could be wrong but the three stores I've done Cat deals at (Acme, Super Fresh and Shoprite) have all worked on retail as recently as 6 days ago- I'm thinking that's not changing this week.

I must say though, I did have my first set back with those new registers at SR. The register limited my coupons to 4 of a kind doubled, which was a change for me.

    Happy shopping!

I can confirm as recently as about 3 weeks ago that it's still off shelf. I don't think the manner of qualifiying for the Cat is related to the register, as it's a Catalina promotion.

I haven't tried it, but I am persuaded that you could do a shelf price Cat deal at Kmart too. I've seen some $x/y deals there lately, and as long as it's a Catalina Marketing promo, it stands to reasons that they are all determined in the same manner.

    Happy shopping!

Oh, I have some GREAT expired Qs saved up for that promo! And the $3.99 Locatelli is a rock bottom price for that item. Darn.. I need to buy another fridge AND a freezer. I was at Costco this am and was tempted by them until I remembered that I HAVE to pay an electrician to run another line in the basement to put the freezer there.

note to self: find an electrician who needs some sewing done or something

Most of the time when we have catalina deals, they go off of shelf prices. At least at my store. I don't think the new registers will make a difference but we'll have to wait and see I guess.

According to the Shoprite at Home site for my store, the shelf price for Jello pudding is $1.09. If the catalina does go by shelf price that means you need to buy 19 of them to reach the $20 shelf price, for a sale price of $12.67.

There are brochure coupons out there for these--a $1.25/3 & a $0.55/3 (the second one is a DND-5)--that make this deal a moneymaker.
