XMARKSTHESPOT Shoprite 1/4 to 1/10/2009

I'm working from home this week, so no scanner. I took jpg images of the flyer and posted to Photobucket. It should be clear enough for us to start planning for next week.

kamitchell6/Shoprite January 4 to 10 - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

It talks about the Can Can sale starting January 11th. This is my first 1/2 year couponing. I remember passing on it back when I didn't know what coupons could do. It seemed like it was just a few cents and not worth it. Is it normally a good stockpiling deal when you are a HCW'dr?

Looks like a good week, finally! I don't know if it was just me but aside from the Glade catalina deal I haven't seen any great sales at Shoprite for a long time.

Default Re: Shoprite 1/4 to 1/10/2009

things I see right away:

great deal with that 10 for 7.77 promo! Get 9 chef boyardee cans or bowls, one of the other items, use the .35/3 coupons that are coming out and get 10 items for about .56 each. DH loves those nasty chef boyardee raviolis, so this is a great price for something that he threatens to go pay full price for.

chi chi's salsa will be 1.49. Use the 1.00/2 coupon that came out, and get them for .99 each.

betty crocker fruit snacks will be 1.77. There are coupons coming out on sunday for these but I don't remember the exact price.

pop secret popcorn will be 1.49. use the .50/2 coupon that will come out, and get them for .99

lots of lysol coupons coming out, so more cheap cleaners with the 1.88 sale

butterball turkey bacon will be 2 for 3.00. There is a printable for 1.00/1, making it .50 a pack!

thanks kamitchell, for the sneak peek!

Steamers oh yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We're down to the last two (of course, I still have a gazillion of the boxed steam-in-the-bag type LOL)

So 3/$3.99 limit 4. I know ShopRite will only DOUBLE 4 like coupons (at least in Delaware) but would 12 $1.00/1 coupons in one transaction be ok?

Darn, the SR quick oats went up this year to $1.59. For the past ten or so years (since I've been shopping the can-can sales), I've been getting the large cartons for $.99 each. I buy 6 quick oats and 6 old-fashioned oats which gets my family of 5 through the whole year

I'd break it down into 2 transactions for 6 each. My Shoprite says 4 like coupons, but will take 6 "just this once". The registers haven't had a problem taking them.

I agree with the '6 coupons just this once"

I have used 5 and 6 of like $1.00 coupons, no beeps, no stress!

But that's me. I am an experimenter.

I have also used .50 doubled ones in groups of 5 sucessfully. But I would never tell anyone with a strict budget to try it because it might not work. You might loose .50!

Best wishes!

Default Re: Shoprite 1/4 to 1/10/2009

Sorry for the late post; the kids fell asleep in the car today & were impossible to get down for bed tonight!

According to TT, there will be lots of inserts this weekend. It’s likely I’ve missed a match-up w/ a few of them, so please post the ones you find.

Can Can sales are coming up! Circular mentions “It’s coming, so if you Can’t Can’t Wait…”

Time to redeem 10% off on the shopping order of your choice from Sun. Jan. 4th through Sun., Jan. 31st earned last month. Limit 1 10% discount per cardholder for the Shoprite MasterCard Madness Promotion.

Default Re: Shoprite 1/4 to 1/10/2009

Thanks guys! I found even more of the steamers coupons while going through my binder (and piles...) pulling expiring coupons.

A month or so ago I tried using 5 $.50 of the same coupon--only the first 4 doubled (and I had different "flavors" of whatever it was that I bought).
