I've seen it advertised, but never tried it.
I'd have to buy my groceries twice and I can't get more than two sale items to qualify? I'm hosed, I never buy just one or two of anything anymore if I don't have to!
Just thinking this through.
I buy my groceries at Safeway for $75 according to all the limits etc.
I now have to buy all my groceries a second time at Shoppers. Say they cost $100 at Shoppers, which is a big difference so probably this is not going to happen, they will refund me twice the difference, 2x$25 = $50.
So this looks like no real deal since the difference is unlikely to be that big, plus the first $25 just reduces their price to the other store, so the savings are really only one times the difference. Plus you have to put up with all the rules.
Well that's disappointing! :frown:
Yeah I always see this advertised and it reminds me of the Circuit City/Best Buy "10% of the difference" thing. Basically, it comes down to a few pennies in many cases. You know what they should do, though, is to compare prices between actual Shopper's. After the whole triples event a few weeks back, I realized the Shopper's in Fairfax has better prices and sales than the one in Burke. I don't know why Giant and Shopper's and other places think it's a good idea to play this game of changing prices according to location... it just turns me off from shopping there. But maybe that's what they want anyways haha![]()
