Shop and Save Rant

I just got back from my local Shop and Save. I was really excited about getting some fuze. They had it on sale 10/10, and if you got 10 they would give you $3.00 off. While looking through my other store ads I found a Manufacturer's coupon for $3.00 off 10 fuze. So i figured use the coupon and the sale and get 10 fuze for $4.00. (Actually i wanted 20 fuze for $8.00) .

When I went shopping on Saturday the cashier pushed the coupon through no problem.

When i went shopping today the cashier pushed the coupon through, then looked on the back. She went over to the Customer Service desk, came back and said I couldn't use that coupon because it came out of a store ad. I said "But it says manufacturer's coupon on it."

She said she couldn't do it, there was a line starting to pile up behind me so i told her I didn't want any of the fuze. I figured i'd just go over to the customer service desk and ask them about it. While she was taking all of the fuze off of my order I saw the Office Manager so I asked her. She said "xxxx doesn't want us to take those kind of coupons anymore."

I don't know who xxxx is, but I wrote a letter to corporate asking why they wouldn't take my coupons. It's not like my coupon had another store logo on it. It wasn't a printable coupon. I don't understand why they wouldn't take it!! Hopefully corporate will get back to me soon.

Doesn't make sense to me either. Have you heard anything back from corp?

Haven't heard from them yet, but I did post a complaint on their Facebook page, and the reply was that each Shop and Save basically has their own Coupon Policy.

I planned on doing this with the coke coupon from the foodland ad this week - wonder if that means I should change my strategy.
