Cresson store ...need help on future trip

Hi Everyone! I need help. I am from upstate NY and will be attending a wedding in Aug about 90 miles from the Cresson store. I will be in Halifax. I was considering making a trip out to Cresson get some deals. But I wanted to find out before what this stores coupons policy is and if you all think it might be worth the trip. My trip has to be an "extreme coupon" trip, getting as much as I can for as little oop as I can. Plus the trip has to be good just because of the distance. This is a challenge trip between me and hubby. He is learning (slowly) the value of couponing but doesn't believe you can get hundreds of dollars free or really cheap like they do on the show. I know it is possible because I did it years ago pre-hubby. Any thoughts on this??? Is there a good place to go closer to Halifax to rock out some fantastic deals??
Just in case you are wondering it is almost impossible to get really amazing deals in this area. Too many store rules and we are taxed on almost everything here.

Have you ever been to the Cresson store before???? I am from about 15-20 mins from there... never shopped there. Nor do I know what their coupon policy is.... good luck... and if you went there and did a haul it would be all over the place... that is how these small towns work

Do you mean the cresson store in Cambria County? It is a very old store. I've never done very well with coupons there but maybe compared to where you are you would do okay.
Why don't you go up to State College for Super Doubles?

Thanks Footballmom! How far is State College from Halifax and what are Super Doubles?

I really have no idea where Halifax is but if you do a search you can see where State College is at (Penn State Univeristiy is there). I'm not sure if it is close enough for you. Super Doubles is when they double a $1.00. So a $1.00 coupon would double to $2.00 and you would get the $2.00 off.
If you look at the Giant, PA thread you may find more information. They double one like coupon but can give them like 50 coupons or more an order. I believe you can go in and out 3 times. And there are 2 different Giant stores.
