Sounds like a great deal if you have the coupons, but I'm not sure if Shaw's will allow bogo coupons on bogo items any more. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they changed their policy to reflect that recently. Anyone know for sure?

Yes, you can use bogo coupons on a bogo deal. But of course they "reserve the right" to limit quantities, change policies etc. So it may be if your store is not coupon friendly it may not work.

I'm heading out today to get 12+ jars, I'll let you know if it works for me. I never have problems at my store (Bangor Maine).

Just got back, got 24 jars with no problem using the coupons. BUT, I keep a detailed pricebook and shaws RAISED the price since YESTERDAY from $2.29 to $2.99 per jar! $2.29 has been their "everyday" price for quite some time at my store.

This appears to be a violation of the Maine State Consumer protection laws that specifically state the following:

"Price increase: it is unfair when, with respect to any article required to be purchased in order to obtain the “free” article or service, the offeror increases the ordinary and usual price of such article. A change in trade-in policy may have the same effect as a price increase. A change in markup would have the same effect as a price increase only if it increased the retail price to the consumer."

I will be contacting the appropriate state officials today to report this and get further clarification.

That's awesome that your scenario worked, I wish I had the coupons! Good for you, and thanks for checking it . I noticed when I went to my Shaw's today, the jars were (I think) $3.15...that's just crazy lol. Good for you for calling Shaw's on their bs, they can be shady that way. I understand that everyone needs to make their money, but when you do it at the expense of others by manipulating pricing it is wrong....it's the way the world is, but it's wrong.

My Shaws always raises individual prices to compensate for a B1G1.
