Hey Shaws shoppers! Here is the ad scan for this weeks deals for the week of October 14th through the 20th, 2011. There is a really great General Mills Catalina this week (see notes below)

*Please note that HCW does follow what a store ad says based on how a sale is supposed to work.

The GM cat deal does say calculated after coupons. So posted scenarios have to be @ the price threshold after coupons.

In previous sales we were able to post scenarios using shelf prices AND coupons because Shaws did not say afer discounts or coupons.

This sale ad only says after coupons not discounts so I am reading that to mean that the deals will still work on pre-sale prices.

I will plan my scenarios using shelf prices AFTER coupons.

It worked for me on shelf prices. Got 3 Fiber One bars, 2 Nature Valley bars, and 4 boxes Chex cereal.
Shelf prices on bars were $3.49, cereal was $3.79, I'm in Boston :)

I did 2 more transactions tonight. My first is similar to the one I already posted:

Now, my next transactions, my goal was to make the transactions $25 after coupons and sale prices. I had heard people were having trouble with the Progresso soups & Total cereals, and the Cascadian Farms granola was not marked at my store as being part of the deal (my kids can't eat wheat, hence all the Chex & granola!). So if the catalina didn't print, I wanted to show I did in fact spend $25.

Did your Shaw's get the new receipts? My stores are starting to use a new computer and the way it calculates on the receipt I'll be surprised if it works on shelf price.

Going to go for the yogurts anyway because we need some and they work out to be a good deal.

If I buy 50 yogurts at $30 and use 5 $1/10 yoplait cups coupons, it'll still be at $25 and I'll get the $10 off. So $15 for 50 yogurts is .30 each. I'll take it.

But if someone with the new receipts is getting it to work on shelf price, please let us know!

I ended up getting 40 yoplait cups and 4 boxes of regular cheerios at 2/$4
There is a $2 cat when you buy 20 yoplait so I got back $14 in cats this way. Not sure when the yoplait cat runs until.

If I can find some more yoplait coupons I'm going to try it with the 40 yoplait alone, because PSP that would put me over. I'd still get the $10 back and 2 $2 cats.

Other sites are reporting it's working psp but not sure if they are all on old register system. I am reading lots of reports of issues with different items.

Awesome because I'm going to go try it now on just the 40 yoplait. I have to actually buy 44 I think to get to use all my printable coupons. Didn't have any more insert q's.
But that's ok. I'll take 44 yogurts for .19 each! Should have just grown a set and tried it this a.m. LOL but i've been burned too many times lately!

I went back and got 44 yoplait cups @ .60 each psp .79 and I did get the cat even after using coupons. Will add this scenario to the wiki

I took a chance today while out shopping in Goffstown, NH to see if the cat deal would run on psp. I had a failed attempt.
I bought:
2 Cinnamon Toast Crunch psp: $4.99x2=$9.98
2 Lucky Charms psp: $5.49x2= $11.98
2 Kix psp: $3.29x2= $6.58
my psp total was: $28.54
I got no $10 cat, but I did get a cat coupon for more cereal. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up!
