New to Shaws

Hi Everyone!

I just moved to MA from NC (the land of harris teeter, lowes. bloom- triples/ super doubles :( ). I read the coupon policy and understand that 6 like coupons will double per day. Is there a limit to the TOTAL amount of coupons that will double in a day?

For example at most stores i've shopped in only 20 coupons per day would double per card...

Also, does anyone in MA have an opinion on which stores are better for their doubling/sales between Shaws/Stop and Shop/Roche Bros.?

Its very weird after 3 years of couponing to feel like i'm starting all over again!

the only roche bros I have near me is not very near at all so I cannot help there. I dont know if they double?

I used to strongly prefer shaws, but in the past year, stop & shop has had sales that work better for me. I still shop shaws regularly, but seem to get more overall at stop & shop now that the catalina deals at shaws are not as frequent. also, depending on where you live, check into market basket. they do not double coupons, but have some great prices. Feel free to pm me for locations based on where you live or if you have more questions about stores near here.

as for shaws doubles, no, there is no limit to the total # of coupons that will double in a day. they will just only double 6 of the same one per transaction. most stores will let you do a 2nd transaction for 6 more of the same.

Keep in mind if you have an issue with using say 8 or 9 $1/1 coupons that the policy of 6 ONLY applies to coupons that double.. also you can use more than 6 of the same doubling coupon. just the #'s over the 6th wont double.

Just a note. Shaw's policy just changed. You can double only 4 per transaction and no back to back transactions to get more doubles. :(

Ditto bugface on changing your siggy. I was all confused to see you posting in S&S lol. Market Basket is a great place for your everyday kind of shopping - low prices all around even though they don't double. They don't do catalinas either. I also shop at Hannaford mostly for their marked down meat. Otherwise, they're almost as expensive as Shaw's and S&S, and they don't double.

Hi! Welcome to MA! Do you have a Price Chopper? They have some decent sales. They will double up to a face value of .99. But their policy is that they will only double 4 of the same coupon (which I find only some stores are aware of).

I go back and forth between Shaws and PC mostly and sometimes hit up Stop & Shop, Big Y and if I'm feeling brave Market Basket-it's 30 minutes away.

Big Y also doubles-do you have that store?

I am 99% sure Roche Bros does not double. I'll check and send you a PM.
