Shaws: Turkey Promotion 10/8 - 11/18

This year's turkey promo at Shaw's has started (and there are some changes). Here are the terms:

Spend $500 with your Shaw's Rewards Card and earn $20 toward a turkey (plus a few extras)

When you shop with your rewards card, your eligible purchases will be tracked on the bottom of your receipt. Once you've spent $500 on eligible items, a coupon for $20 will automatically be printed at the bottom of your receipt. You can participate as many times as you would like between 10/8 and 11/18/10.

Earnings on eligible items may not be transferred from other Rewards Cards.

You can redeem coupon through 11/28.

Usual list of ineligible items to purchase with coupon: photo, pharmacy, gift cards, money orders, stamps, lottery tickets, alcohol, tobacco, milk or other products where applicable or prohibited by law.

This offer cannot be redeemed at the self-checkout.

Looks like they give you credit for the manufacturers' coupons (but not for doubling value) I used coupons with a face value of $4.19 before doubling and that's the credit I was given at the bottom of the receipt.

The store I was in this morning had signs up saying you couldn't use the manager's card to get credit for the promo.

Thanks to the GM cat deal, I'm a little over halfway to a free turkey! Yay!

bumping this up. today and tomorrow 11/18 are the last 2 days to finish up your turkey purchases. I am about $25 away and since its caculated before coupons I plan to use up a few free item coupons to help get me there.

I have not stepped foot in shaws in 2 weeks and had a panic moment today thinking I missed it.
