I live in the Boston area, so the PSP might be higher. Most people are reporting lower cake prices.

The 12-ct yellow, the white corn, and the stand & stuff were all 99 cents for taco shells. As I said my deal didn't work (may have been because I used self-checkout), but I just got the standard taco shells.

The OEP items aren't listed in the UPC list that I saw to trigger the cat...

Is the UPC list posted here? Well, I guess it's a good thing I got all the taco stuff I needed It's listed in the ad. They really need to fix that.

I'm trying to help my mom out with some scenarios, since she's not done much couponing in decades (ha!), so I'm not familiar with Shaw's. Do you have to withhold your card until after they've rung it all up, and then scan/swipe it, or can you let them scan it ahead of time and the register will still base it off the pre-sale prices?

Thanks for your help - this store is amazing! Our visit at Christmas time is going to include lots of stops here! That's for sure!

The OEP is definitely a no-go. Tested and failed several times reported elsewhere. Just because its shown doesn't mean its a participating product. The asparagus is also not really .99....2.49 on sale I believe. Yellow card up at my store.

You can give your card at the beginning. PSP is figured regardless of when you hand it over. Midway through checkout could lock up the computer if they don't wait for it to re-tally things.

I'm about to take someone out at the knees for some broth. I got two cartons in this and the last CAT deal. Its rediculous. By 9am there were two chicken and 6 beef on the shelf. I mean really?

Got my Scotts though. *insert evil laugh here*

Hopefully they have a good sale at Christmastime.

swipe your card as usual. There is no trick to it working on shelf prices. It is just how the deals are programmed. I have been doing them for a few years now and it has always been that way.

Some store management goes only by sale price if the catalina does not print, and catalina marketing, in my experience also only goes by the listed sale price so you take a small risk by using shelf price to do the sales, but I think if every 10 or 20 transactions do not work I am ok with that based on the amt of money I save there.

Does your mom have any coupons to start this deal? Or does she have a printer to print some?

Heyaheather listed a few scenarios where you are only using 2 each of IP's to get the deals.

The scott paper towels are an easy one for her to do, because there are blinkies in the store good for $1 off every 4 she buys.

I have only purchased a few of those, but plan to get some more this week.

I think that a cake mix scenario is a good one as well as a Wishbone dressing. Those are great, easy ways to start to see how it works. And of course, the Scott, if you can find it.

I'm hoping to go back out today to get some Wishbone to donate (will the food banks take this? I've not donated very much other than canned goods), a bunch of cake and cookie mixes for the holidays, more ragu (not the best deal, but when it's close to free I'll take it), country crock and crescent rolls. If I can find some broth and Scott, I'll get those as well. My Viva coupons aren't here yet.

I'm loving this week!

QUESTION Re: Shaws 11/6 - 11/12 ~ CAT DEAL ~ Buy $30 get $15 Unilever/GM

I'm new to coupon shopping and have a question about where to find coupons. I printed off a few (.50 off progresso broth, .50 off BC frosting etc) and noticed that they say "DO NOT DOUBLE". I was wondering where ya'll find coupons that you can double? Are only coupons found in the local paper "double-able"?

It's hit or miss. This company that makes the product has the authority over what the coupon states. Even those in the paper inserts will say DND most of the time.
