This is being discussed in the weekly sale thread too.

You can use coupons to lower your OOP. So say you spend $26 in sale items and use $9 in coupons you are paying $17 OOP, then you get $5 back as a OYNSO catalina that you can use on other groceries on your next order and the form to send in for the $20 rebate.
Once the rebate comes in, you got paid to take those kraft items out of the store.

Here's the Kraft deal I did today. I bought things that I wanted, not necessarily the cheapest things. I didn't even check the regular prices since I wanted to may sure my sale prices were over $25.

6 Crystal Light - sale $2 - total $12 - 3 X $2/2 IP = $6
6 Easy Mac single serves - sale $1 - total $6 - 3 X $1/2 IP = $3
4 Velveeta single serves - sale $1 - total $4 - 2 X $1/2 IP = $2
2 Capri Suns - sale $2.22 - total $4.44 - 2 X $.75/1 Home Mailer Q = $1.44

$26.44 before coupons
$12.44 after coupons

I got the $5 cat and the mail-in rebate.

I just realized I bought another item for this deal - it wasn't a good day at the store for me. I also bought a Nabisco 12-pack at $4.99 minus $1/1 IP equals $3.99.

So I was way over $25. This is what happens when Shaws only has 3 Dove Shampoos 25.4 oz. I messed up that deal too.

Her is what I'm planning on getting for the Kraft deal. I went tonight to scope out the shelf prices. All prices are sale prices.

Trail Mix x 2 = 2.50
Capri Sun RW x 4 =8.88
Kraft Singles x 2 = 5.00
Chips Ahoy x4 = 10.00
Total = 26.68 in sale prices ($36.08 shelf)

I will use for coupons:
1 $1/2 Kraft singles
4 $2 WYB 1 Chips Ahoy & 1 Capri Sun tear pad qs
1 $1/2 Trail Mix from the Nabisco booklet
Total after qs= $16.38, get the $5 cat back & MIR
I will probably use a $5 cat to lower my OOP further

the Crystal Light says 10 ct- but the picture looks more like the 4 count tubs. Has anyone seen what size is actually on sale and included in the promotion? Thanks!

I don't do rebates often so when I bought for this deal my OOP price was $26 after q's. Whoops! When sending in rebates, do they look at how much you paid for you entire order? For instance could I have paid with my cats from last week and still gotten a $20 check? Thank you!

Each rebate is different. Kraft rebates only require $25 worth of items on your receipt regardless of how much you paid out of pocket.

I've sent in MIRs before with the OOP way below what the MIR was for, and I got the full amt. Some people will tell you otherwise for other MIRs, but you should be fine.

I don't see your logic here at all -

- say you buy $25 worth of products and you have NO coupons at all, you will still get back $25 ($5 OYNO and $20 MIR) ... so what don't you like about $25 of stuff?????

Also repeat three times for rebate in Kraft calendar (10 cookies/crackers+5 drinks+5 Easy Mac) and buy Easy mac using whatever coupons make it cheapest.
3x first scenario (9.98)-15.00Cats=14.98
6xEasy Mac ($1)-3.30Q (.55/2)=2.70
17.64 oop
get $20 rebate
2.36 moneymaker

So at the end of four transactions as outlined above I should have:
16 Nabisco Multipacks
16 Capri Sun
6 Easy Mac cups
and Kraft will have paid me 17.30 to bring them home.

I have heard the 100% juice CapriSun work. Just add .99 per box to the calculations. Makes it barely a moneymaker (1.54), but if you use the juice its a good deal.
