Shaws Weekly Ad 5/8 - 5/14

I just got back from Shaw's and decided to give the Palmolive/Colgate cat a try. I bought 5 of the 8.5 oz softsoaps like are pictured in the ad. Spent $10 pre coupons and got no cat. I went to the CS desk and they gave me a $3 voucher to use on my next trip. I also bought 2 of the Ziploc expandable bottom bags that are on sale and used my BOGOF coupon and did not get a cat for that either. I didn't bother to ask CS about that one since I had no advertisement for it.

For the ziploc, I think they have to SPECIFICALLY be freezer bags. 20 or 30 ct worked, IIRC.

We bought freezer pint and quart 2/$5 and got the 1.25 cat for each set.

IMO, all Ziplocs work for the cat.
at least ones on sale 2/5. I've bought freezer gallons and quarts, also ones used with vacuum pump, all gave me 1.25 cat for every 2 purchased.

Does anyone have any idea when this ziploc one is supposed to run through and are you all buying more than 2 in one transaction or are some of you buying 2. Thanks!

Yes, despite pictured pumps and refills only refills are on sale for 3.49. I spoke to the store manager about discrepancy, he told me to read the small print disclaimer at the end of every flyer: illustrations are for design purposes only and do not depict featured items. When I point to him the wording of this ad "softsoap ensembles hand soap 8.3 oz, selected varieties" and it says on both units, pump and refill, he grabbed from this phraze "selected varieties" and said the refills are the only varieties on sale.

I only bought 2 freezer quart size and got the cat.
