Steam and Mash aren't fake potatoes, just chopped/cubed tiny to cook through when steamed in the microwave. We used the sweet potatoes for turkey day dinner and I use the russets for homemade gnocchi al the time. Also shepherd's pie.

Not for $2 a bag perhaps but not a bad backup to fresh taters (and they don't mold or grow eye in the freezer).

Are the Planter's nut bars any good? We looked at buying some this week but I haven't clipped the Qs yet.

funny you should ask. I am making some right now.

We have tried 3 of the 4 kinds.

The Plain is our favorite .. you can add anything to them.

The Garlic is next favorite ~ DH likes them but I thought they were ok.

The 3 Cheese is gross .. so bad that I contacted the company. They sent me a few FREE coupons

I WISH I could find the Sweet Potato kind .. but have not seen them in any store in my area. Still hoping to stumble upon them.

I think they are good to have on hand just in case you are craving potatoes like I am right now

I agree w/ Purple that $3.00 - $1.00 = $2.00 is still a lot .. I can get them cheaper at Walmart.

the Planters Big Chew Nut bars on sale for $2.50 are confirmed(read on another board) to work on the Kraft $10 OYNSO wyb $25 which is scheduled to run through this sale week also...I know $1/1 and .75/1 coupons floating around. Regular price I believe is in the high $3 range, so could be a great possibility with coupons and cat combined

after the Conagra deal I'm not going to assume this Kraft one will actually go til 3/14, but that would be awesome if it did.

I like the Steam N Mash too but they're $2.62 at Wal-mart regular price (or at least they were). It was so nice when they had the B1G2 coupons too! Ahhhh cheap potatoes. Yum.

The Planter's Big Chew bars are awesome! I got a pile using my .75/1 coupons tripled at A&P, which made them $.25/box.

I'm not seeing anything that will let me roll the more than $900 worth of CL overage I earned this week. I guess I will have to buy GCs with them since these catalina coupons do not say they prohibit gift cards.

They are great! They are real potatoes that you steam in the microwave. Then you add your own milk and butter.

The Steam and Mash are terrible compared to the prior shredded version, we only had to add milk, heat in the microwave, and stir. Why would anyone think its better if we have to do more work for them?
