Ugh, if anyone was out this morning in Dover and saw the lady whose pasta sauce got broken at the registers, let me apologize...it wasn't my mom's fault though.

Anyone have any great last minute plans? I've got a couple more trips I'd like to do (or convince DH to do for me before work) and could use some imspiration.

My Dh was at church donating used clothes and he noticed that there was a line of people going to the basement. They were there to get food. Dh noticed that everyone left with a bag, BUT there was not much in it. So, DH talks to me and asked me to go back to Shaws and try my best to get stuff to donate.
I got about 50 cans of soup HC and Progresso right now and I am proud of myself.
Till I saw TON's post and how much he got! I need to get back to Shaws today!
I wish I have more q's!

Marj~Great Job!!

You should be proud of yourself. There is a lot of work that goes into getting these deals, so yes be proud my friend!

I think it's wonderful that people post what they donated, not to give ourselves a pat on the back, but as an inspiration to others.

You did terrific. Don't try to compare to me or anyone else, the fact is you just helped a lot of people in need.

The past couple of nights haven't nearly been as good since my stores aren't restocking as fast as I can clear them out.

ohhh... thanks TON and Slippies46...coming from you it means a lot...
well I was able to get 10 more cans of progresso today plus other things! I did not do HC soups bec the lady in charge of the Self-check out was really looking while I was doing my shopping. I really wish we have another Shaws around. I only have one near me! My 2 dd's were happy to get free chocolate chip cookies from the bakery dept-that made my shopping a little stressful :)
BTW, there is a $5 onyo wyb PG and Pepsi products fr 2-27 to 3-11, no other details were written on the cat.

just like saving a $1 is better than paying full price ANY donation to the food pantry can be the difference between turning away a hungry family and being able to give them something

And remember, doing deals is TONs job to a degree (at least thats how I make myself feel better, lol). If you chased deals full-time instead of whatever you do for work you may be able to come closer.

All of you thaqt are donating the soups etc

YOU ARE AWESOME!!!

I wish I could do the same. DH and I have 8 kids between us from our former mariages. And 17 grandkids between all the kids! Sooo tey shop in our stockpile when things are tight like they are right now. This last weeks sale provided them with alot of school snacks and cereal. So I guess we are at least keeping them away from the pantry.

Heads up! Very very short window here, but this is going to help with the Coors light racing rebate (buy $30/get 7.50 - chips, soda, etc.) and with the frito lay stuff on sale this week (I don't get a circular, but I read it on the other thread)...hmmmm
