I am not an expert but here goes my experience on cats...
One time I was told AFTER I have done my transaction that ALL the cat machine was down for that day. I was not an HCW'er yet so I paid the right amount as indicated on the promo After q's, of course I got my money. It was around 10 am that day.
Another time, it was 8 am, then it was around 5pm. One cashier who uses coupons told me that this goes on every once/twice a week, because the cat people are either adding new items in the promo.
If there is anything about cats, its the type/variety/flavor /size that has to be programmed or else pre-sale price will not work.
There are still a lot of us that miss the cats printing ( I am sooo one of them!!! lol!)
but don't feel bad because you can always return the items to CS. Although if you explain to CS that is working on pre-sale prices they are going to argue and look at you like you just came from another planet.

ok, so clearly I missed an opportunity here- should have bought a wipes with my 2 diapers instead of soup to get the 5 baby cat, would they let me exchange/rebuy/whatever? If so, how does that work? Do I give back my original cats and then get new ones or are the originals just void?

and thank you for the info on the cats- can we use the GM ones to buy P&G and so forth then?

Only good news to report......The 12 packs of soda worked!!

10 boxes of coco puffs = 20.00 reg 3.19 each
2 bounty 10.00 = 20.00 reg 13.19 each
2 fiber pastries = 4.00 reg 2.?? each
7 12 packs of coca cola = 23.34 reg 4.44 each
4 edys ice creams 12.00 reg 5.99 each

There were 2.00 off 2 qs on the coco puffs, only two of those left so used them and 2 $1.00 bounty qs.

Total 79.34
- 6.00 on qs
=73.34
=50.00 in catalinas back
= 23.34 for all that......

I am going back tomorrow and getting more stuff.....Now that was fun!!

Thanks Marj! I just feel bad because it's hubby going and not me, so there's that extra worse feeling of 'feeling bad' for him! I did try to explain to cs ONCE that it should work on shelf prices, then I politely excused myself, stating that I was having a bad day or something It was clear that they were thinking I was from another planet!

He did return the stuff, mostly because I have become a coupon snob and "there is no way that I am paying that much for that stuff"!

I do expect there to be glitches with these types of promotions, but when it falls on hubby, well I feel terrible! I did tell him though that I was willing to 'give' him some of our ecb for anything he wanted. Now we all know I must be feeling really bad to give away ecb for something that isn't going to make me money!

I believe my total was 62.89 before sales & coupons but I only got $15 in cats back. Maybe that variety of pasta sauce isn't working. Oh well, I ended up paying 23.05 for all my groceries, which included milk, bread, and waffles, and getting the cats. So it wasn't a huge loss. But I'm not doing so well with this deal!

The minute maid 10pack is in the list. I think asstd flavors are 3.59 and orange was more $4.69 maybe. I bought apple yesterday as we need juice but I didn't have any Qs. No problems printing cats though.

Minute maid 10 pks for me, in Milford MA are regularly $2.99 (or at least, under $3.33, i forget exactly), so I didnt want to buy them - but we needed them, I still didnt.

Tide Free worked. I bought 2, plus a veggie filler (GG.) Got my catalinas.
2 nabisco, plus 2 crystal light, plus poland springs - works, if they type in the $3.99 poland spring water price.

Thats a good deal on 100 cal pks ($2 is the best in a LONG while), and if you are buying water as well, its free, kwim? (I bought 2 100 cal pks, and I needed the water for $4 - so, it was either buy the water, or buy the crystal light, both are $4, and if I use the coupon, I get the -.60 off in tax)

Anyhow, I was going to get cascade, but I couldnt find the right ones, and the OP on the 20 ct tabs was $4.99 (wheres the sale with a $5 sale price... yeesh!)

Then I saw cascade powder for $5.49 in a box... But I wasnt up for spending that much on cascade powder today.

Tomorrow, though, Ill go out for the paper (and grab a LOT because of 5 inserts!!!) and Ill stop in tomorrow to get cascade.
