    Yup. :)

When I was buying a bunch of all's (using the $1/2's) I forgot about those ones taking off the 15% too (albeit .15, but still...) :)

Some stores have wised up to this though and started entering the cats by hand so it doesn't do that. Or at least the one coupon hating supervisor at Webster Sq has. She did that to me last week when the cashier couldn't get the cats to scan. :frown:

You should not be getting money back from any of the cats or Q's. If you have a negative total, you need to buy something else or grab a donation ticket that's right there. It is against Shaw's Corp Policy to give cash back on Q's. I was able to donate $3 to a local food bank b/c of this and only ended up paying $.25 for my order. It's worth it to me.

At my store in RI it is taking off $1.10 for each $5 cat. Some cashiers are aware (mostly managers) and enter it in differently which requires and override, but most don't even know it's doing it. Haven't tried it with the $10 cat but when I used 2 of the $5 ones it took off $2.20. Food is not taxed in RI, so I have to add fillers to make sure it is not negative

How do you know that the Kraft and ConAgra deals are calculated off shelf price? Are these types of deals always done this way? Or do some calculate meeting the minimum purchase from the sale price?

I'm new to this site. Just trying to learn to coupon smarter!

I hand them a $10 catalina, which takes off $11.50.

Take 15% of the catalina, and add that in (add it to $10)... Because for SOME reason, it's taking off 15% of tax.

If you have a $5 catalina, it takes of .75 (15%).

We don't know why. NONE of us do. It just DOES.

    Use it to your advantage...

When I went to the store today, I used a $5 AND a $10, and it took off $15, and the $2.25 ($1.50 + .75) in negative tax.

It doesnt explain why.... it just 'is' :)

Can we have a moment of silence or something, for this week to end?

Im stopping one more time tonight, but I refuse to get 8 more cans of soup for $6....

Ok.. maybe ONCE more... Then Im going to roll the $10 into something <I> need.

I dont want to take a picture of the soup cans, because that means Ill have to bring them out of my car, and into the house, and I dont want to lug them back to the car.

    I will count them though, maybe :) (OK. there's 8 to a bag) :)

Thank you all for making this a fun week at Shaws!

    I'll second this! Thanks, everybody!!!!

(If anyone is making a last-minute run, get 9 of the soups. You can now use 3 blinkies and your OOP will be exactly the same as for 8 cans.)

Jason~We did one last run last night. We got soup and.........we brought it in the house and.........we put it with the rest of the soup and..........I looked at all this soup in the family room (no room left in cupboards/pantry/closets)and....I had my husband take them all upstairs into the spare bedroom!

I rearranged my cupboards and closets and said look honey we have plenty of room for this weeks stuff! OK so we had like one shelf that had one or two inches available to accomodate something.

I did get some stuff I needed last night, milk and spices. When we got into the car, we were like, wow that was good, I had a fleeting moment of sadness!

It was fun while it lasted! I'm dedicating my morning coffee to all of you and the memories of this week of our temp BFF--SHAW'S (has to be temp, another store might have a great sale next week).
