Rumor re: GM promo

My friendly cashier thinks she saw a new promo coming. It's to get tickets for Batman and she thought she remembered that it was tied to GM products.
So, if you're going to see Batman, keep your eyes open for this one.

I got my ad yesterday (really early for me) and it's in there. You have to buy 10 participating GM products (BC brownies, Chererios, cheerio mix??). Sorry I don't have all the details but it's at home and I'm at work. I sort of ignored it because with the last movie ticket promo the nearest participating theater was over an hour away...

Got a catalina that anounced the promo, it is buy 10 participating GM products between 7/4 - 7/10 get (2) tickets to Batman - The Dark Knight

Have no idea what the items are though....

I just went to enter my code and there are no theaters in my state. In this case, Fandango is offering a pre-paid visa card to use at a non participating theater. I would assume that I will get a pre-paid Visa card with $25.50 loaded on it. So even if you don't have a theater near...still get your codes!!! HTH!

Has anyone been able to get the visa card for this deal? If so, how did you go about it? The closest participating theater for me is over 25 miles away... so obviously that's not great. I don't see anything really obvious on the Fandango or GM website.

fandango will tell you when you put the code in, for another movie, you wont waste the code unless you finalize the order
