The meat % is 73/27. Like I said before, a high fat content, but we only eat it after it has been cooked, drained, and rinsed. We use leaner ground beef for hamburgers, meatloaf, etc.
I've never seen any white stringy things. "Chub" refers to the way the meat is packed in a tube. I personally don't eat any meat from WalMart whatsoever.
I simply refuse to pay more for hamburger than I do for steak.
