My store ran out of cheerios....early in the week...I went back yesterday, still no cheerios...
called ahead today...still no cheerios, was told to get a rain check and also save my $10.00 coupon...they will honor it...for the length of the rain check KWIM??

so it might be worth picking up a rain check and saving that coupon for the future....

YMMV - I had the BOGO Manufacturer Coupons from the aisle tearpads to use too. The cashier was all confused. I brought up 6 bags and since the flyer Q says Limit 3 bags, she questioned it. In the end I think I got all 6 bags for free because she took off too many when entering the dollar amount for the free bags.

I was told on the phone to save my coupon "that it still would be good"

My raincheck says "General Mills Cereal 10/$20 no mention of my coupon

I posted this on the OMG thread, but I'll say it here too.

My store in Wareham, MA ran out of just about everything by 4 o'clock today (Thurs) and when I asked for a raincheck, I was told that the sale price and the coupon would be honored until the 11th. They expected a shipment tonight. But I still did get a raincheck for the $2 ea price as a last resort. That plus a coupon when cereal is needed will be a good enough price. I just don't know if I'll need cereal with the 3 months before the raincheck expires!
