We all have special recipes we love to pull out around the holiday season. I have a few that people request from me as soon as the holidays roll around. The first people seem to ask me for is my mom's meringue kiss recipe.

This is a Recipe in A Box swap (say that 5 times fast ) comes with a TWIST!! In this exchange...we will swap recipes along with at least 3 (non-perishable) ingredients needed in the recipe. I would challenge you to see how many of your ingredients you could send/find coupons so that your pal is set to make it when he/she gets the package.

Here's my package:
My recipe for My Mom's "Meringue Kisses" calls for:
chocolate chips
sugar
vanilla
eggs
salt

I would send: a small box of sugar (the recipe only calls for 1 cup of sugar), a container of vanilla, a bag of mini-chocolate chips and a single package of salt like you get at a fast food place since my recipe just calls for 1/8 teaspoon of salt . I would also include a coupon for eggs (I think eggs would break in a box...even if I write fragile )

PACKAGE REQUIREMENTS:
1) Recipe
2) AT LEAST 3 ingredients to make the recipe.
THE CHALLENGE: I challenge you to see if you can create a package that has either ingredients or coupons for EVERY ITEM on your recipe ingredient list (are YOU able to take on THAT challenge???)

MAIL BY DATE: November 21th (I'd LOVE to get these out BEFORE Thanksgiving!!! Feedback is WELCOMED on if you think that works)

Requirements for this exchange:

• You will mail a package that 1 recipe and 3 ingredients to make the recipe
  
• Your package must have a minimum value of $5.00. This does not include shipping costs, or the value of the coupons included.
• Your package will also contain 20 coupons or 3 unused stamps.
  
• Coupons rules: No baby, pet, meds, oddball products that very few members use like depends unless you have an exact wishlist match. If someone says they use cat food frees, do not include regular cat food, unless it is an extra. Please Limit 1 of each coupon unless it is an exact match to a wishlist. If you have an exact wishlist match, then duplicates are encouraged! Printables are fine if your pal says they can use them. BTFE's/CLFE/Coke Codes/Pamper Codes/etc. are all great to include if they are wishlist items. Rebates/TMF are fine but please watch state restrictions!
  

Requirements for the sender:

• Mail the package by Monday November 21st
• Your package must be mailed no later than the mail date above, it may, however, be mailed early
  
• Post on the thread that you have mailed your package
• It is your responsibility to make sure your package gets to the receiver. It is always recommended that you get a delivery confirmation on your package!
• If an emergency situation comes up where you are not able to send your package it is YOUR responsibility to notify your host of any delays. You are asked to respond to all PM or email messages from your host/SP Mods within 48 hours. Failure to do so may cause you to be blocked from the Secret Pal forum.
  

Requirement for receiver:

• Once you receive a package you post that you have received it in this thread. This is so your secret pal knows you received it. We don't want packages going missing and not know about it.
• Inform the host of any address changes ASAP
  
• Remember that not all coupons/gifts will be from your wishlist; the wishlist is a guide for your Secret Pal.

If you do not mail your package and the mods send on your behalf, you are responsible to reimburse cost of the package and shipping to that mod. If a more expensive mail class is used to make a deadline, you are expected to reimburse that cost.

I would really like to get this out BEFORE Thanksgiving. If that is going to prevent you from signing up...PLEASE post that. If I have people interested in the swap, but not able to participate b/c of the mailing date...then I will move the mailing date!

Just submitted my form and now trying to decide which of my favorite holiday recipes to choose. I always make up big baskets of treats for friends and family at Christmas, so I have a stack of tried-and-true favorites to pick from. Right now, I'm thinking Butter Pecan Biscotti because it is easy to make, delicious, and just thinking about it has my mouth watering. Mostly the mouth watering is making me choose this one, though. I can pick up enough to send and enough to make a batch for me at the same time! I'm not thinking of myself this holiday at all, no siree!
