    Default Note the Expiration Dates

I just took over as the coordiantor for our school. I couldn't look at every one of the small tops, but checked the bonus ones and found quite a bit that expired...$47 worth of them. It just killed me to throw them away. They do not take expired ones anymore.

the ones on the products have a 3-4 yr window so most of them are fine.

You are supposed to look at every single box top because they will definitely look at every one when you redeem them. They'll take any expireds off your total but more important, if you send a lot of expireds in, they can drop you from the program.

I have a piece of poster board that I've drawn 50 squares about 2"x2" on. I lay out the box tops then scan over them with my lighted magnifying glass (about $7 at Target or somewhere). Then I can slide them all into the little jewelry size baggies (about .01 each at any craft store). Bonus is that I don't lose count. The worst ones are those tiny Pillsbury roll ones!

I had one just yesterday that expired in 2002! People dredge them up from God knows where!
