I just have mine in a ziploc baggie in the drawer. I like your decorative idea better!
Cool whip has decorative containers several times a year. I have one with some flowers on it. I slit the middle of the lid, and put the lid back on the container. Everyone knows when they see a BTFE or some other point thing we are collecting, to simply tear it off the box and deposit it into the container that way. The container hangs out on a shelf in the kitchen, and when the container is full, we take them into school. This beats when they were in drawers here and there and disorganized.
Last year, we turned in about $300 BTFE that we'd been saving up to the school.

I use a Viactive canister with a slit cut in the lid. It's kinda small, but then so is my apartment!!! LOL

I taped a ziploc bag to the inside of my pantry door, I never zip it closed though, that way anyone can just drop a btfe in the bag. And everyone knows where it is. I also use the inside of my pantry door for the school calender and other family information. Everyone is in the pantry everyday and no one misses the info that is posted there, plus it keeps my frig clutter free.

What? Nobody else just thrown them into a drawer like me??
All of your ideas were great. I really like the Cool Whip container idea with the little slit.

I bought one of those plastic pencil/pen/marker cases the Kids use at school and that is were I put all my upcs and Btfe
I use the crystal light plastic tubs with lids. You can actually "decorate" it to match your kitchen by wrapping it with a wrapping paper/scrapbooking paper that matches your decor and then protecting the wrapping paper by coating it with a laminate sheet or contact paper. Trim around the edges, pop the top on (with a slit to deposit them of course) and Voila, pretty container! If you collect a lot of them and need a bigger vessel for storing them you can use a coffee can, lipton iced tea canister, or hot chocolate canister and do the same thing!
Can you tell how anal retentive I am? DH gets slightly irritated with me when I do stuff like this in our home...

I throw them into a decorative bowl on the kitchen counter, and when I start feeling guilty, sort them into baggies.Originally Posted by lanichan

I just use a ziploc bag. When it's full, my kid takes it into school.
