Deals at Schnucks? NOT!

You may find a good deal once a month or so, but it seems to me they rely on these 10/10 sales. I don't mind when they have the frozen veggies...something healthy.
But how long do they think that people are wanting to live on 10/10 Ravioli, Boxed Rice, Macaroni, etc.
I've learned to start at Aldi's for milk, eggs, butter, etc. Then I hit Walmart for everything I get at the grocery store for less. I use coupons that aren't doubled at my grocery stores here (anything over .40).
Then I hit the grocery stores armed with coupons.
You would be totally amazed to find out how much you can save this way. I was!

My Lolgi's doubles up to 55 cents (logli's is a schunucks store) so I can always find products for free or close to free. If you coupon, you can do great at Schunucks. I typically save 70% off my grocery bill. I also will buy basics at Aldi's but my milk I buy bagged at the local gas station (it's much cheaper). But, overall, I love Logli's.

You're lucky then. Schnucks here only doubles up to .40. It's rare to get anything free. I did, however get Keebler pie crusts this week for .50. They were 10/10 and I had a .25 coupon that they doubled. To me, anything .50 or under is like free to me.

It has been a long time for me since I have went into this chain for more than 1 or 2 items a month. When I first started couponing I was in there almost daily because of the sales but they have had like no decent sales as of lately. (almost a year now) Although I did really good in March for the cereal/movie tickets deal.



As for this chain I only use it to pick the best deals because they are the expensive store in my area.

My Schnucks doesn't even double, so I can't count on that to help with the deals. Like Barbyq, I only go for my freebies (probably haven't been since October). The deals just aren't there, & meat prices-don't even start me on that. Outrageous!

I am sorry your stores don't double. That is a main reason I go to Lolgi's. They double up to 55 cents. And the cashiers are great about it.
I went yesterday. I spent $190 before coupons and $104 afterwards. They had tons of clearance holiday stuff and I could double coupons on it. They also had Ham $1.60 a pound. Which in my area is not to bad. I bought one and had the butcher shave it right there in the store for me. I wanted lunch meat, so he sliced it thin and rewrapped it. Also,if meat gets close to the sell by date, they put $2.00 off stickers on it. So, I got a package of chicken for under 1.39 and I saw packs of Brats for under $3.00 a package. Our store is pretty decent. They are higher priced, but the double coupons makes up for it. I can compare in my price book between Super Walmarts regular price and the double coupon off price at Logli's. Sometimes walmart is better, some times Logli's is better. I just have to keep a price book.

I usually only go to Schnucks for the (infrequent) B1G1 free deals and the 10/$1 items. I use most of my coupons at Shop N Save so the under .40 doubles at Schnucks don't do me much good. I do like Schnucks for my free coupons though, when I can't find an item at SNS, Schnucks usually has it.
