Is this a good deal?

It seems that compared to 'the pros' I'm spending alot oop. I swear I read tons of posts about how someone got 4000 items for .48. I am spending much more than that.

So....for this week I saw the following and maybe someone could come up with a better deal?

The only popcorn I eat is Popsecret Homestyle and it's on sale this week for 2/3.00 and there is a .50/2 MFG q. I have seen in the past that this goes on sale for $1 but idk if/when that will ever happen again. Since food prices are on the rise, how would I know if this is the 'new lowest price?' BTW it used to go on sale for $1 AND there would be a .40/1 coupon that when doubled would make it .20/box. They have only been putting out $/2 lately.

Also, we do eat tacos and are out of shells. DH prefers the kits b/c they have the seasoning and salsa in them. But I have peelies for free seasoning wyb 2 Ol Paso products.

Here is the deal I was thinking of doing:

Does $12.25 + tax seem like a lot for all that? Not including the free seasoning that is about .61 per item. Am I doing something wrong? We wouldn't use any of the items with the GM deal (save for maybe a couple of boxes of cereal). We are out of taco kits at home and I only have 10 or so boxes of popcorn left We eat it almost every day so it's not as much as it sounds!

I say since you don't have any of the taco shells and the only popcorn you eat is the pop secret brand thats a good deal then. Remember who cares if you can get 50 items for $1 it doesn't help if its items you and your family wont eat.

BTW you are getting 20 items for $12.65 plus tax which breaks down to .63 an item I say thats a great deal.

I personally am completely out of popcorn and my husband eats it all the time so I would rather pay the .63 an item than the $3.xx that is the normal price.

I'm glad that you asked this question because I almost forgot to post this. I saw a sign, I think that it was a Batman promo, that WYB 10 Popsectret, ortega products, GM cereal, BC fruit snacks, you get $4 OYNO. So, what was a good deal before, just got better! I wish that they were giving away movie tickets like they did for the Speed racer promo (what an awful movie!). THAT was an awesone deal.

I did the GM cat deal this week using the Hamburger Helper 10/10. I have
-.75/3 q's and had a couple -1.00/3 and -1.00 q on ground beef with purchase of 1 Hamburger Helper. I did 10 boxes using 3 q's 2)-1.00 and 1)-.75 = $7.25 for the 10 boxes and rec'd the $4.00 OYNO. The ground beef(chuck) I got was extra lean @ 2.00 + a pack -1.00 q's. HTH anyone.
