WOW! Here in the St. Charles are we only get .40 cents :( I would probably do more shopping there if I had the above deal!

My local Schnucks in Springfield, IL doubles up to $0.40.

Hi, I am returning to the STL area after 12 years of living in Oklahoma, so it has been a long time since I have shopped at Schnuck's. Way back then, the Schnuck's near me had triples every so often. Do any of the stores do special events like that anymore, or is that a thing of the past?

my local schnucks doubles up to $1 (ie .55= $1). they have never had a triples event...man that would be awesome if they did....but each schnucks seems to be a little different in what their coupon policy is...call and ask and find out! in talking to one of the employees here, she said they are the nicest people to work for all the employees are always really happy!

Plus, we have self-checkouts & customers scan their own Qs, which = any coupon that physically *can* double (within the store's limits) will usually double. No clerks handling the coupons and manually undoubling them...awesome! Our Schnucks rocks!

lady margaret is this how it is in the peoria store? i have never used the self checkouts! i always have a full cart! lol..

Yep, I'm referring to the Peoria store - the self-checkouts were part of the remodel.
I usually am only picking up a few things at Schnucks so I rarely even *have* a shopping cart.
However, having a full shopping cart doesn't stop me from using the SCO at Kroger. I almost exclusively use it there, even when I have a full cart so long as it's not super busy. (Of course, the SCO is always empty when I get there, and then suddenly 5 people want to use it! And then I feel all apologetic about tying up the clerk running the SCO...)

Is the Peoria Schnucks near downtown by OSF and Methodist on Knoxville? I am trying to picture where it is. Do you have experience at the Pekin Schnucks? OH...what is the double coupon policy at the Peoria Schnucks? (do you know Pekin as well?)

When you welcomed me to HCW a year ago, I hope that you meant that you'd be glad to help another central Illinoisan if you could. Otherwise, I'm just bugging another fellow couponer to death!!!! LOL!! Thanks so much!

peoria schnucks is at the corner of university and glen. no where near the hospitals, unless you take 74 and get off on war drive, and then take the right onto glen..

schnucks doubles 5 like. pekin schnucks is just as cool as the peoria one. i dont believe pekin has a self checkout though...sunday morning cashier (older lady super friendly) is a couponer herself and she usually knows the deals

pekin and peoria are the same as far as policies. hope this helps
