I've never shopped at SaveALot, but when I was setting up the forum, I checked out their website and found there's a store in Holyoke, MA, about 45 minutes from me. Too far to go just for that, but I could always plan a trip to the mall if there's a killer deal at SAL.

I have never heard of this chain until now. A brand new Save-A-Lot is opening up here this Thursday. I'm in Washington State.
