Save-A-Lot ~ Heinz Roasted Turkey Gravy, Malt O' Meal Frosted Flakes, Toast'ems

This morning my SAL had jars of Heinz Homestyle Roasted Turkey Gravy for $1 each (10 for $10) and the labels had a "$1 off your next order - see under label" warning. I bought a couple of jars and the underside of the label has a coupon for $1 off 2 jars of Heinz Homestyle Beef or Chicken Gravy, good expire 10/31/12.

They also had large bins of the Malt O'Meal Frosted Flakes cereal (21.5 oz) for $1.99 each (and the cocoa flakes too). I have no idea if there are any Malt O Meal coupons floating around so you might want to check.

The "Today" brand of generic poptarts are $1 a box with "2 free pastries" included. I've never tried those so not sure if they're good. I was going to try and make my own but for $1 a box, I thought I'd try them.

Also, my SAL has had a display for a while now with the Oscar Mayer Already Cooked Bacon for $2.49 a box and on the display there are manufacturer's coupons for $1 off eggs or produce when you buy 2 boxes. The coupon expires 10/31/11. We tried the bacon and it's good and since it's already cooked, it's easy to put a couple of strips in the kids' sandwiches.

Was in a hurry today, but I saw a Johnson's Baby display priced at $3.29 with $1 off peelie coupons.

Also saw a display for Shake & Bake at $1.99 with $1 off pork (and chicken I think) coupons.

Didn't see the gravy - will have to check this weekend.

The poptarts are OK, especially for $1 a box! I personally tried the strawberry flavor and while it's not as good as Pop Tarts, it was fine. My teens devoured the Fudge flavored ones so they must have been OK too :)

I checked the Heinz jars at Publix and they didn't have the coupon on them. My SAL has lots of the Roasted Turkey gravy and also the Beef gravy and they all have the coupon printed under the label.
