Re: FREE Popsicles !!!!!! Well, I just got back from my SAL - they wouldn't take my coupons! They said the Popsicles were a "store special" and therefore they wouldn't take a coupon. HUH? I said Unilever didn't care how much they charged for their popsicles, as long as they are being bought they will take the coupon, and give you $1 plus 8 cents handling fee for every coupon you send them.
The cashier called over the asst. mgr (the regular one is out for the day) and he said the coupon was only good for the 24-ct box (shown on the coupon). I said "No, the coupon states ANY one Popsicle product. They can't show all of them. If it was good only on the 24-ct, it would say so, like if it wasn't good on trial sizes, it would state that." Cashier #2 says "but then you'd get them free!" (Oh, the horror of it all!) I replied "Yes, that's the point. You have them on sale and the coupon makes them free. The ad says limit 12, so I want to get 12 boxes. I get items free all the time when Publix runs a B1G1F sale and there are good coupons out. I'm combining a store sale with a manufacturer coupon."
Then the asst. mgr. says since they are independently owned stores, they don't have to take my coupons, but he'd make a photocopy and ask the mgr. and I can call tomorrow to see if they'll take my coupons. So, the kids and I left without our 12 boxes.
