I live not to far from you in Polk County. I'm a New Englander too that misses the much better grocery deals up North.

Sorry to say but no stores double in Florida.

Hi, saw your question about stores that double, and I haven't found any...but I "heard" that Foodway doubles....I am near Ocala, and there is one in AStor and one in Gainesville...also one in Bushnell. I bet there's a Foodway near ya'll. I used to live in Lakeland/Plant City area and there was a Foodway out in Dover, I think it's still there. Maybe you could call them and see if they double? I sure miss double coupons myself. Food Lion in Plant City was the last place that doubled and I don't think they are even in business anymore...

Good question - but do they double in Georgia or elsewhere? I accidentally found one the other day - had no clue that it was there. Is shopping generally good there or worth going to?

Every month or so we're getting a save $10.00 off a $60.00 purchase coupon in the local newspaper. I get staples of shortening, flour, brown/white/powdered sugars, rice. Peanut butter, jelly, cookies, peanut butter cracker packs, pre-made pudding for kids lunches. Chunk cheese and cheese slices, eggs, milk. Bologna, hot dogs. Recloseable sandwich bags, kitchen garbage bags. These things are usually less expensive than at other stores around here and then add the coupon to it...I think it's a good deal. But, I'm pretty careful about other items because I don't like off brand names in a lot of stuff.

Our Save-a-lot does not accept coupons at all. I thought it was a corporate policy to Not Accept Q's. Does it vary by location?

Sav-A-Lot does accept coupons. In the FAQ, I quote an email that I received from corporate in regards to this policy.
