Re: Convince me to try Save-a-Lot! I stopped in at a location yesterday and was definitely not impressed with the prices. The store was clean and neat (also small). But, I didn't see much that I couldn't find at comparable or cheaper prices at most other grocery stores. The only things I bought was the 3 lbs/$1.00 bananas and 2 cans of $0.38 biscuits. I thought their one-page flyer was a bit bizarre. Instead of sale prices, it had these groupings of foods that was supposed to feed 4 people for $5.00 or less. I don't know anyone who shops that way. Here's the "Quick Breakfast": For $4.29 or less - Nature's Crunch Granola Raisin Bran and 4 containers of Coburn Farms Lite yogurt. Okay, kind of expensive for other brand items and that price doesn't even include milk. Good luck trying to chug down that dry granola cereal with a bowl of tap water - LOL |
