The samples! I just remembered that when I worked there, there were people that came in just for the samples. You can get a whole meal just tasting out the food. But on weekends they have samples of paper towels, toilet paper, etc sometimes. And these samples mean that it is an entire roll! And it is one per person, so if there are 3 of you shopping then you can get 3 rolls for free (or you can go out and come back in to get more). I remember employees could bring home extras at the end of the promo. I got a lot for free. I know at wal-mart when they sample these things, you just get one sheet.

Do you have to be a member to use their photo department or snack bar? I thought I read someplace a few years ago that the photo department was open to all.

ONE SHEET! Are you suppose to go to the bathroom asap to sample it? I'm afraid if not that it might get shuffled around and get dirty or lost.

Well, every family and area is going to be different, but our family really gets good use out of our membership. We mostly get tires, gas, meat, fruit/veggies, trash bags. I always have to swing by the clearance section and most times I do check out the clothes, but so far this year, the best deal I got was our Wii. It was not any cheaper, just the fact that I could find one.

Sam's sets it up to give the customer a good experience. It's totally hassle free for the customer. It's weird it's the same company as Wal-Mart and Wal-Mart does not have as good customer service. Sam's has a good policy AND they always have reps available. There is always a manager who can help if necessary.

Every week I buy
1 gallon of milk
1 roasted chicken
1 bag of Mott's apples
1x per month I buy a package of pork chops
Every few months I buy bastmati rice & egg noddles

The pharmacist at our store is very helpful.

I love their deli. For $5 my son and I can eat.

It won't save you a ton of money unless there really is a good deal there that you need a serious quantity of. But since my dad is actually paying my membership fee, it's worth it.
Heck, the gas alone is worth it.

I usually only buy a few things there...Milk is the cheapest around, and their generic branded stuff is usually pretty cheap. That would be Members Mark. Cheap trash bags, and medicine...Robotussin DM equivalent MUCH cheaper than anywhere else. Various other things, too. This is one of those YMMV stores. But it's usually worth looking around.

Oh, and I too buy the $.87 soda, then refill as I walk out :). And my kids LOVE the pizza!

My hubby and I have 5 children. We were buying our groceries at a local grocery store and walmart super center. We were spending almost a thousand dollars every month on food... deals and all. We started shopping at sams club, and now spend just less than 500 a month. That is a car payments difference |(or house payment). That is why we shop at sams.

I used to work for Sam's and one helpful hint is on the price signs there is usually a letter in the upper right hand corner of the sign..."A" means it's an Active item, but if there is a "C" there that means the item has been cancelled and the price has been reduced from the orginal price. Also if they price ends in .81 then you know it has been reduced. Hope this helps. THats why we shop at Sams. Just for the clearance and the meat.
