Sam's Club FAQ's What is Sam's Club ? Sam's Club is a large, members-only store that sells a wide variety of items with a portion of those items being in larger-than-normal quantities. Sam's Club History: "The first Sam’s Club opened its doors in Midwest City, Oklahoma in 1983. Today, Sam’s Club serves more than 47 million U.S. Members and operates more than 580 Clubs nationwide, as well as more than 100 international locations in Brazil, Canada, China, Mexico and Puerto Rico. A typical Sam’s Club stands between 110,000 and 130,000 square feet. Most locations feature Pharmacy, Tire and Battery, Photo, Bakery, Optical, Café and Floral departments. By keeping our overhead low, we can pass along the savings to you." quoted from SAM'S CLUB How do I become a member? Membership "Becoming a Member at Sam’s Club is easier than ever. You can join online or visit your nearest Sam’s Club location. There are three types of Memberships to choose from: Advantage Membership, which offers two Membership cards for you and a household member. This is $40 for a year long membership. Business Membership, which is available at a slightly lower cost and provides a company Membership card plus two personal Membership cards. This is $35 for a year long membership. PLUS Membership (either Advantage PLUS or Business PLUS), which provides extra benefits above and beyond either of the other Membership types." Both types are $100 for a year long membership. Quoted from SAM'S CLUB Where are Sam's Clubs located? Visit Sam's Club online and enter your address into their store finder. Does Sam's Club accept coupons? No, according to other HCW members. I have contacted Sam's Club to get the official word and am waiting on a response. What are Sam's Club hours? Regular Club hours are:- Monday through Friday, 10: a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
- Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Early hours for Business members:- Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
- Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
What’s in Club? "Sam’s Club Memberships provide the opportunity to save on a complete line of products such as quality jewelry, designer goods, sunglasses, crystal and collectibles, high end electronics, floral, apparel, organic foods and choice meats. In addition to affordable luxuries and exciting treasure hunt items, Members also enjoy services including—healthcare, business, financial and personal. Examples include health insurance, web site development and maintenance, cost effective merchant credit card processing solutions and auto, boat & RV and travel programs. Some companies that have corporate memberships with Sam's Club offer discounted memberships to their employees. (thanks to pwetyplease for this tip!) - Some Sam's Clubs have members-only gas stations at their stores. The gas prices are often noticeably lower than other gas stations in the area. - Running low on time or not in the mood to shop? Sam's Club offers "Click N' Pull" shopping. Do your shopping online, the store will pull it for you and email you when it is ready. Simply pick up and pay for your order and be on your way! This is a work-in-progress. From Sam's web site FAQs >> PaymentQ. Which forms of payment are accepted online at samsclub.com and which are accepted In-Club?
A. To purchase with samsclub.com, you may use a Sam's Club Credit Account, Wal-Mart/Sam's Club Shopping Card, Check, Discover®, Visa, MasterCard® or American Express®. To purchase at a Sam's Club location, you may only use either a Sam's Club Credit Account, Discover®, MasterCard®, Debit Card, Shopping Card, Cash or Check. American Express and Visa are not accepted for In-Club purchases. You can purchase a Wal-Mart Shopping Card at Wal-Mart using a Visa (or any other accepted payment method) then use that at Sam's. Perhaps a little inconvenient, but not as bad as having to open a new credit card. | |
