| Re: I still go to Sam's or costco for The membership alone is gained back in the savings had when purchasing fuel! Sam's is usually at least .10 per gallon cheaper than the other stations nearby. Some of the other things we purchase there are: water softener salt, cakes, meat, frozen foods, flowers, and I always shop the clearance area. I don't do my grocery shopping there, but they do have larger/cheaper than coupon prices on some food items. Their hamburger meat is always a great deal and even better when marked down. Their prices on electronics are great too when stuff is on clearance. So I guess I could say I clearance shop at Sam's!?! LOL!

| Re: I still go to Sam's or costco for - Gas - it is usually cheaper than anywhere else, with the exception of buying gas at Super WalMart and using a gift card to save 3c/gal. I drive by SWM on the way to Sam's, and so I usually check out their gas price, and then check at Sam's. If SWM is cheaper, I'll fill up on the way home.
- Tires - their price was so much lower (for the exact same tires) than anywhere else that I called. I think it was about $50 less for the 4 tires, but I don't remember. Anyway, it was more than the cost to renew the membership ($40) so it was worth it to me.
- Rotisserie chicken. My family knows that when I go to Sam's, we have chicken for dinner that night. It is SO good, bigger than the chickens at Publix, and about $3 cheaper. They also have racks of ribs cooked on the rotisserie, and they're very tasty.
- Those take-and-toss Dixie coffee cups, usually $3.99 at Publix, maybe I have a 50c coupon, so it's $3.49 for 12 cups. I can buy a sleeve of cups and a sleeve of lids for about $16 total, for 100 cups/lids. HUGE SAVINGS! This last us for 6+ months. (I know, I know, we should use reusable cups, it is cheaper and saves the planet etc. Lets just say that my family never returns their coffee cups. My husband forgets them in his friend's cars, etc. My son leaves them in the trunk of the car, and then brings them in when they start to reek. I hate cleaning out cups that have stewed in a hot car for 2 weeks. I'm sick of losing my nice travel mugs, so they get disposables. $16 worth of take-and-toss cups saves me at least $30 worth of destroyed/lost travel mugs.)
- huge cans of tomato paste for under $4 - I don't remember how many ounces this can was, I haven't had to buy one for months. I remember that when I came home and broke it down for the freezer, it worked out to less than 20c per 4 ounces. Publix has their store brand for 69c per 4 oz can. I can't get the free-AC Muir Glenn tomato paste (nobody around here carries it), so this is a super deal for me.
- If I'm there, I'll pick up milk. It is only about 30c cheaper per gallon, so I would never make a special trip just to get milk. Same with most produce. If I'm there, I might buy pineapple or bagged apples, but the price isn't much better than Publix or SWM. I get most of my fruits and veggies from the produce stand near my house- it's organic, locally grown, and dirt cheap (4/$1 cukes or bell peppers, anyone?)
- we sometimes buy computer software, books, pool toys, bakeware, kids DVDs and video games. Heck, I bought a new Serta mattress for my son for $100 less than at the local mattress store. We always roam the aisles, because you never know what they have.
- and lastly, my favorites - BIRKENSTOCK and BETULA sandals! They don't always have them in stock, but every few months, my Sam's has authentic Birkenstocks for $35 - $55, depending on the style. Since these are usually $75+, and I've never seen a Birkenstock B1G1 coupon, this is a great deal.

Canned Crab - I am partial to the brand they carry.
Bottled water - like the taste and it is inexpensive.
La Brea bread - can't find it anywhere else and love it.
Birthday cakes - great deal and I love the frosting they use.
