Unfortunately for us our 2 area Genaurdi's now have coupon rules printed on the front of their flyer since January 2010. It states that these stores will only double the first of 4 "like" Q and that NO rainchecks will be issued. That kinda put a cramp in me shopping there:(

I don't care that much if the one around me closed. They're really coupon unfriendly. You cannot use BOGO coupon for BOGO sale. You cannot even use two MQ for BOGO sale(because the other one already free). If you have a MQ's value higher than their sale price, they won't mark it down refuse to take it instead. They treat you like a theft when you use coupons. I shop there only for fruits and vegitable when I run out by accident.

In my Genuardi's (Jamison, PA) the cashiers actually have to walk out & look at the bottom of your cart to make sure you aren't stealing. I hate this. But it is literally in my backyard and so convenient. I can even send my non driving kids to pick something up last minute. I love having it here.

I think the walk around to check the bottom of the cart thing came down from corporate a while ago. It's really nothing new. When I was a cashier 15+ years ago, we had a little message pop up on our screen at the beginning of each order that said "Did you check BOB (bottom of the basket)? You couldn't scan anything else until you had hit yes or no. Sometimes you forget and the cashier doesn't look, so it's really just for the protection of both.
