Default Safeway - Coupon Policy Updated

The coupon policy has been updated as of 6/7/10 and is on Safeway's site for reference. They now state in writing they accept manufacturer catalina coupons issued by other stores!! WOOHOO!! (Also manufacturer coupons with other store logo's)

I'm trading again, but sometimes it takes a few days for me to respond with an infant in the house!

They also dropped the verbiage about if an IP exceeds 50% of the value or whatever it was exception. THis was added also:

    4. Coupons cannot be applied against the free item received in any offer where a customer buys one or more items to get one or more items free.

I've always been allowed to use coupons on both items. I have never tried to use a BGOG coupon on a BOGO sale, but to me this also means $1/1 type coupons also.

Oh, Alaska stores are accepting Wags RR's also. Good to know for those weeks that there's nothing to roll them on. lol

Anyone know for sure if any of the Salem OR area Safeways are accepting WG RR. I never managed to use some and they expire soon and it's a dead week at WG. Would love to use them to get BBQ sauce before that deal is gone. ~_^

FYI...for anyone that didn't check back...they revised the coupon policy on 6/18/2010.

I just looked at the online coupon policy. Didn't they change the verbiage re: catalinas??? It says "for a specific item." Before, didn't it say that they would take catalinas from other stores, which made is possible to use the $3, $5, etc. RRs from Walgreens??? I guess they closed that loophole real fast???

I have the old printout here somewhere in all my junk.

like how they have the rules right there, but then say they have the right to refuse any coupon...this happened to my mom and i last night...we were buying kellogs cereal with q's and then using the fruit, milk and store baggie q's when you buy kellogs cereal...since they didn't scan they refused them and said that we were stacking coupons...we tried to explain that these were for other items not the cereal...but on top of being extremely rude (leaving us to stand at the checkout without a word after we asked to have the items removed) they couldn't even produce this NEW coupon policy they had allegedly just received??? so i guess that's there way out?? that they can refuse any coupon they want...well they just lost some business from this couponer...
