Ok, so this has potential for me. I'm in PA and our ad runs Friday-Thursday, so I'm a little confused about what is on sale right now (over at the NW thread). I looked up the Smart ones dinners and some of them are 2.50 until 3/11, so I think that should work.

I love Birds Eye veggies, so hopefully they are on sale. I can't find the regular veggies on the website (just meals).

I haven't done a $/$$ cat deal at Genaurdi's in a looooong time. Do they go off sale or shelf prices? Anyone know?

Maybe I'll do a guest Genuardi's ad tomorrow, which store do you shop at?

Weird thing was I just plugged in the Glasgow, DE location and it shows a Safeway branded ad, but if I look at the Glen Mills, PA location it shows the same ad but branded as Genuardi's. Both are the same running Friday-Thursday. It's been a while since I was up there, did the People's Plaza Genuardi's become a Safeway?

Thanks for the extra Genaurdi's post!! I'm not sure about the "people's plaza" part, but yes, Genuardi's was bought out by Safeway. Genuardi's used to be a family-owned chain of stores and the kept the name. I believe Genuardi's stores are only in southeastern PA. I shop at the King of Prussia store.

This cat deal is still confusing me. Without printing out the whole PDF and taking it with me, it's hard to know what's included in the sale. I stopped by tonight to do my regular shopping and checked tags. Some stuff was tagged, some wasn't. I think I'll go back tomorrow (since I forget bagels anyway!) and do the Smart Ones deal from the NW board.

One thing I did notice is that the Birds Eye frozen veggies are 1.99 regular price now. You don't have to buy three (I don't think) like the ad says. In case you need a filler.

Yeah, is there a way to found out what IS really on sale? I so want to take advantage of this sale, but I feel like I'm going blindly into the good freezer.

Yeah Safeway deals are tough to follow! I personally put the pdf on my palm pilot and go to the store with that and check UPC's as I put them in the cart because I have been burned before by the shelf tags being incorrect.

The other thing I have tried is to make a plan first (from the pdf and matching up my coupons) and take that along with me - stick to the plan don't let those shelf tags lead you astray! You can use the shop online feature on the Safeway website to get an idea of prices and that also will tell you items that are part of the deal.

If the cat doesn't print and you have something that is not marked in the ad or on the shelf (i.e. in the pdf only) it may be hard to explain to Customer Service! I have asked for their list before and they look at me like I'm crazy, if they don't have one I wonder how they know what to mark on the shelf? Calling Catalina has always seemed a better option for me in that instance.

I was talking about the one in the People's Plaza shopping center in Glasgow, there's a big Home Depot there now. Like I said, it been quite a while since I stopped there, now I just drive by on my way to the beach (avoiding the tolls!).
