I know these will definitely not double. I've used and combined SW Qs before and they are coded into the system differently. Plus, since our stores in Phx are doing like quadruples (aka they are rounding everything to $1), they have a recording in the store that mentions it does not apply to SQ Store Qs.

In regards to the January SW coupon booklet that is yellow with manf coupons inside. Some of the coupons will double.
If the coupon starts with a 5 it can be doubled.
If the coupon starts with a 9, it will not double.

You are correct. However, my response was to the ZamZoom's question on the "Make It Tonight" Safeway Store coupons. As mentioned, those Qs are "NOT the same as the Jan Coupon Booket, which has Manf Qs in it." and since they are store Qs, none of them will double.

do these manf. q booklets come out every month at safeway? I have not seen them before.

I have them from Oct, Nov, Dec and now Jan. I had never seen them earlier in 2009 though, so don't know if it is kinda new or I just hadn't noticed them!
