I was in Genuardi's last night buying gift cards for some grads. There was a sign that said "buy 3 hallmark cards, get 5.00 instantly off 25.00 gift card". Had my toddler with me, so didn't get all the details.

I bought three .99 cards and one 25.00 gift card. The discount did not come off. Manager checked the sign and gave me the 5.00 off. Not sure why it didn't work (worked like a charm when the had the journal deal). Maybe it's not programmed yet?

Pretty good bonus if you're buying the gift cards anyway.

Wonder if this deal would work 2X if you buy 2 GC and 6 cards. I have safeay BOGO hallmark q's. Wow, it's like paying for 3 cards and get $10!!

Hi all,

I was in Genuardis last night and was going to try to buy a Safeway gift card. I read all of the fine print for the promo and it says that .99 cards are excluded. Guess that's why it didn't work for me originally. Sorry for the bad info.

BUT, I have seen some 1.29 cards, so that would still be a small moneymaker if you can find those.
