I always need to pick off the silver pieces. It's always been there, so I don't think it has zip to do with storage, etc.

I saw it this time too. Maybe the changed the foil on the inside. Not that it has never happened before but this time they were little pieces and good number of them. I just pick off the flakes since they were on the outside of the crescent rolls.

That is really weird - we eat the crescent rolls (and other canned Pillsbury stuff) all the time and I've never had that happen.
