Is there a way to find out everything that is on sale?

I was wondering if there was a list posted somewhere of everything that is on sale. I shop at Safeway. I know the weekly flyers tell you about whats on sale that week but there are also many other things that are on sale as well and the sale may last for a week to a couple of months. How do stores decide what to put on sale and for how long? And is there an updated list somewhere so I can get in and get out without having to thumb through my coupon organizer to find what I need. ???? I'm new to HCW btw. My name is Jenny and I live in North Idaho. I just found HCW this morning and it is my new fav website!!! Just learning how to coupon and have saved quite a bit of money and LOVE the challenge!!

As far as I know there is no master list available to the general public. I know in my store a lot of the markdowns or sales have to do with overstock in that specific store. Since some items move quicker in some locations than others the sales and markdowns differ for each store. Sometimes when my daughter wants to shop for bargains we will go together so we can take turns corraling the kids while we look. Do you have someone nearby who would be willing to help you with the task?

Hmmmm none of my friends or family are as freakish about couponing as me. It's always worth a try to ask though. Thanks for the info. I figured there wasn't anything out there like a master list but you never know. This website is awesome!!! A fountain of information. Thanks again!

Have you checked out the lists here of what is on sale month by month? Useful Information - Hot Coupon World This will show you the general sales cycles, so you can get some good ideas on what will be on sale this month and in the future. May is a big BBQ/start of summer one, so it's burger, BBQ sauce, condiments etc....

IDK what kind of system you have set up for couponing, but I have found that for me I have a small photo album I carry shopping all. the. time. There were a couple times I had my coupon envelopes set up to go to our local SW(which is 45 minutes away), only to find smokin deals on things and not have my corresponding coupon. I'm not huge like many people on here, but I like my system and how it works. The only thing that I do know is many times SW has a apromo(like the Living Well one that just ended, phew). There was a master list for that. Also many times someone(thanks SuperBob)will post the deals a few days ahead, so that you can plan accordingly. It can be a fun and addicting game. No one I know is into it like I am, I just hardly can buy anything without a coupon and a sale anymore. It makes things so affordable though, how could I? HTH.

Thanks for the info. I'll do a little more research. I too am becoming addicted to couponing. I told my husband this morning I couldn't sleep. When he asked why I said "there's coupons to be clipped"...lol. I just started my small photo album coupon binder. All of which i found at the thrift store and spent no more than five dollars...thank you very much. I was having the same problem not having all of my coupns with me and wanted something to carry in my purse. It's already bursting at the seems though. I'm now on the quest to find out who this super bob guy is. I've been hearing good things. Thanks again for the info. Happy clipping!!!!!!

It is addictive! I finally got my daughter couponing too. I had to laugh when you said a small photo album to carry in your purse. I remember those days. I now have 2 bulging zip binders I carry with me. Sometimes I think I need a suitcase with wheels to haul them in and out of the store, lol.

LOL... I hear ya I was just thinking that I might have to upgrade to something larger as I was thumbing through all my coupons in my tiny little buldging binder. I save $82 at safeway today. My largest saving so far. I've only been doing this for a couple of months now. It was 42% of my bill. I know I can do better but its still really gratifying saving all that $$. My hubby loves my new addiction.

My first trip that DH came with me he was floored and I am not even an expert by any means-that time I got a ton of BOGO stuff(pop, chips, granola bars). My average savings is about 50-60%. My album is fair sized, I once had a greeter at Walmart try and take it because she though it was a return, I was like "uh no these are my coupons". She couldn't believe that it was my coupons, I guess not many people are that organized. I think for me this is about the size I can handle, much of the time I also have an almost 3 year old and soon a new baby, when I do my big shops i go by myself, but most of the time I have our little girl with me.

I actually was talking to a couple of cute lil ol ladies last time in SW and they were so impressed by my organization and determination, they said "oh your husband must think you're great, saving money for your family." I told them he does and he appreciates the saving that I get for our family.

While not an exhaustive list, you can get something approximate to what you want by going to shop.safeway.com and entering your zip code if you live in a delivery area. (If you don't live in a delivery area, call SW CS and ask where the closest delivery area zip code is to you). Under the Online Savings menu to the far left, click on Club Card Specials then browse by category. It's not perfect but comes pretty close.

I have my coupon binder organized by aisle for the Safeway that I shop at the most often. I make a post it note for things that I really need to get or things that I really want from the sales flyers, then I go up and down each aisle and check for unadvertised specials. That allows me to look and see if I have a coupon for a great deal really easily. I then pull the coupon(s) as I load the stuff into my cart, so I don't have any trouble forgetting a coupon.
