Default Re: Living Well Promo Totals!

WOW, I'm truly impressed! I hope to do better next year. My Safeway is a Genuardi's. They didn't have any Bertolli pouches after the first week of the promo. They don't sell the recycled Reynolds tin foil, and they don't have several things people purchased marked as part of the LW promo, and I was too afraid to "test" it. When you are shopping with 2 toddlers under 3, you have to be in and out and don't have time to return things, etc..... But I got lots of Organic milk, which I don't usually splurge on, Brita water filters which I don't think I could do better on, and lots of water. I need to start trading!!

You people are truly my shopping idols!:)

Shannon

I did $154 for $39.50 so roughly 74%. Not bad for me since I'm pretty new and don't have a thousand coupons yet, my binders starting fill up though. I'm most exicited about being stocked up on Electrasol. I've had trouble finding any really good deals on dishwasher detergent.

I just added up my totals, I think I found all my reciepts... :) Here's the scoop:
I bought $728.80 worth of groceries in 13 trips and paid $99.00 oop! I'm not sure how to figure the percentage... but I was pretty proud of my self! And $50 of it was food stamps... so really $50 was food and then paid only $49 oop for 5 boxes of diapers, 4 boxes of electrosol, 3 boxes of tissue, 2 big packs of tp, a bottle of laundry detergent and a box of dryer sheets! All stuff that food stamps doesn't cover! The diapers alone would have been way more than that, even at costco! I love couponing! Thanks for all the great ideas and scenarios everyone! You make shopping on a budget fun! I can't wait for this promo again next year!

Edited to add: Wow, sorry about all the exclamation points apparently I was a little excited.

Regular Price = $649.25
I paid = $94.45
Savings of 85.5%

I did 20 trips and purchased 256 items. The only items included in the above totals that weren't living well was the great Pillsbury Cinnanmon/Crescent Roll deal of which I bought 24 total.

I got lots of great items which I normally don't buy. This was a great, fun promo!

Default Re: Living Well Promo Totals!

I don't have exact totals since I have receipts every where and I have been sick. But I did around 19 transactions and shelf was around $900 and OOP was around $150 so about a 80% savings.

Now lets see if I can remember all the items I bought.

48- 6pks Ice mountain
18- 24pcks Pepsi
20- Ball Park Angus beef franks
5 - ICBINB sticks
5 - ICBINB tubs
5 - Sara lee bread (my store didn't carry the variety that was in the LW promo so they subbed a different one for me)
8 - ALL small & mighty
4 - Snuggle fabric softener
21- Capri Sun Sunrise
32- Bertolli pouches
10- Bertolli Alfredo sauces
10- Safeway pasta (not part of promo but free one week)
10- Baked cheetos (well 6 cheetos and 4 Tostia chips)
15- Electrosal tabs
5 - Jet dry dishwasher cleaner things

There may be more I just can't find all the receipts at this time. Also remember I live in an area that Safeway stores don't double but they do take expireds which is why some of these items were gotten pretty cheap.

I had a great time with this, to bad I didn't have more time, I still had coupons :(

10 6pks of Arrowhead water
40 Capri Suns
48 Bertolli pouches
4 Deli Creations
15 Boxes Peanut Big bars (granola bar things)
10 Electrasol

I think there were a few other things but those were the big ones :)

My out of pocket was almost nothing... I had a coupon for everything I bought, and I rolled all the extra $2 oyno to other things. I also had a $10/50 coupon for one of the transactions and a couple extra $2oyno that Catalina sent when mine didnt' print.
