Also the ad says "15 to 26oz Classico, selected varieties" for the free pasta, so some of those should "double dip". Looks like only the Alfredo flavors will work.

Seriously, if I had a dime for every time a store has run that line past me- we'd all be millionaires. How you pay has nothing to do with the catalina- whether you pay cash, credit card or coupon. The machine might have been broken- try catalina first and if you did mess up or the store messed up than I'd go back and talk to the mgr. This just happened to me last night w/ an item marked incorrectly and it took about 3 min and they gave me back the cat I just used.

I had a horrible time yesterday, which was mostly my fault. I originally had 4 transactions. No cats printed for any of them. I completely returned one whole transaction. I tried the Starbucks Sumatra coffee as it was tagged. It's not on the list and I knew that, but it was tagged and sometimes they do change what's on the list. So rather than try to redo that one, I just returned the whole thing.

I finally figured out trans. #1 this morning. I could swear one of the Odwallas I got was tagged, but maybe it wasn't. It's not on the list either, so I was short $3 on that one...why it didn't print. I returned and rebought 2 other transactions. I got one to work and got the catalina. The last one I also figured out this morning. Why the h*** I was thinking the HF smoked sausage was part of this, I don't know. so it was short also.

I spent like 4 hours in the store, I think. I also think I left my list at the desk. I handed it to Susan at one point and I think I forgot to get it back. I spent WAY too much time and frustrated myself to no end. The poor cashier that I had to keep going back cause my coupons were in his drawer was so nice about it all. Younger guy and we had to call the manager each time I figured something out to fix it. He just kind of grinned and said he got paid either way, so no biggie to him. The one manager was a little grumpy. He's never very nice. I don't think I've ever seen him smile.

So yeah. I screwed up all the way around, spent more time and money than I should have and didn't have time to get to Target. Somebody kick me?

Well I kow in several of my stores many things were tagged but were NOT on the promotion. After wasting an afternoon figuring this out today I finally got my manager to honor the $10 since things were mismarked. I so should have just checked things out on the website first then again shouldnt the store also know whats on the promotion and whats not? The nicest managers told me it shouldnt matter if you use coupons or what not. Its sad when you know more then the store but even worse when the store does didly to try and figure it out. The first store I went to called me a theif, said I wanted food for free said I was being greedy etc. It was humiliating. Here all their products werent marked correctly. I will NEVER shop in there again but will remian loyal to my nice store :)

((HUGS)) There's nothing more frustrating then feeling like you are wasting your time at the store when the catalinas don't print. But just remember all the other good deals you have gotten over the years and now you are probably a Safeway expert and can help all of us!!!!

Did you get your question answered? I didn't see a 3 day ad, just a 48 hour sale for the weekend. It was on the right side of the regular ad, front page. (foldover kinda thing)
The only coupon thing I saw:
Wish-Bone Salad Dressing (like we need more) .99 on Saturday & Sunday. (3-15 Red Plum .75 & various other amounts & q's)
