I emailed Safeway and asked if I might be able to get the 10% discount added to my club card and here is their response:

Thank you for your recent correspondence regarding the Loyalty Card promotions.

You stated that you wished to have 10% off on your purchases added to your club card.
Loyalty Card promotions are ongoing and constantly changing. Certain customers may be offered one thing, such as the particular promotion you are referring to, while other customers may be offered something completely different. It could be 5% off, 10% off, a free gallon of milk, a loaf of bread, or even a car. If you continue to shop at Safeway you can also look forward to being included in a future loyalty card promotion.

They do have a promotion going on that you can win an RV. You have to buy 2 pkgs of beef to be entered.

I called corporate about the 10%...they said people were getting them if they have renovated or opened a new Safeway in your area. I said they have (they remodeled ours last fall). He was SUPER nice and put 10% on my card...this was yesterday afternoon and it was ALREADY in affect this morning when I did a quick run!

I got:

2 Hormel Chili Masters
4 Pasta Roni
4 Rice a Roni

$3.40 OOP! :)

Buy in multiples of 3. If you get 3 you get $2 OYNO, if you buy 6 you get 2 x $2 OYNOs.

say IF a person has ten coupons for $1.50 off dressing that cost $1.50 would they need to pick up more than ten bottles of dressing?

Yes, it's before the coupons, so you'd need a filler or your balance is going to go negative.

Also, it takes the 10% off before any special promos like the Mix and match $5 savings. Ex:

You buy 10 salad dressings, $2 each, all qualify for the mix and match deal, so you're going to get another $5 savings. You also have 10 $1.50 coupons. This is what your transaction would look like:

$20 for the dressings
-$2 (10%)
-$5 M&M promo savings
-$15 (10 x $1.50 coupons)
Balance: negative $2

I'm so upset! I did this deal and nothing printed. I purchased 3 of the tubs and 3 of the "on the go" packs. What did I do wrong? Is it an expired deal? What would you suggest I do? Is there any number you can call?
